Liz talks with Faye Barnhart, Director for Colorado Life Initiative. They will be discussing the importance of getting the "Protections of Children Initiative" on the ballot by March 31st. This initiative will protect the lives of all children from conception through adulthood. We are God’s most precious possession, and it is our God-given responsibility to ensure equal protection to all individuals without discrimination for the victim's age, ability or disability, health, origin, sex, ethnicity, socio-economic background, or birth status.
Colorado Life Initiative is a church-led movement seeking to protect children from harm beginning from conception by placing an initiative on Colorado’s 2024 statewide ballot. CLI’s co-proponent Faye Barnhart and Taskforce Member Christine Curl share their testimonies about how they came to be part of the Pro-Life movement, how abortion negatively impacts our society, and why they designed the CLI ballot initiative to be Church-led and not political. You’ll also learn crucial ways to get involved in their current efforts to garner petition signatures so that the Colorado electorate can vote for life in 2024.

Timothy Plan is a family of award-winning, faith-based mutual funds. For over twenty years, we have existed to help advisors and investors achieve their financial goals through a pro-life, pro-family approach to investing—not only to benefit the investor but the broader culture. We are firmly committed to running a mutual fund company with the integrity, excellence, and wisdom that brings honor and glory to our Lord Jesus.
Our foundational principle is that God owns everything. This is what motivated the birth of our company, and what continues to fuel the advancement of faith-based investing.
As I’ve interviewed women on my podcast and traveled around the country speaking at conferences, I’ve found that many moms are struggling to know how to raise and homeschool their boys. They know there are differences, but they aren’t sure how to navigate them. Moms are not men, so that difference alone creates a challenge in understanding sons. But we have also been immersed in a culture that has become increasingly hostile toward men (and God). It’s no wonder so many moms are confused and overwhelmed.
With this in mind and knowing how busy moms are, I’ve written “Raising Boys to Men: A Simple, Mercifully Short Book on Raising and Homeschooling Boys”. In this 3 hour read, I hope to encourage moms of boys to raise them in such a way that there is a noticeable shift in our culture toward God’s good plan for men, women, and families.
Here is a brief description of the book:
Raising boys in today’s cultural climate is a challenge. Boys are often misunderstood and misdiagnosed—when they are simply doing what their Creator wired them to do. As moms of boys, we can struggle to understand them and respond in a way that will encourage them toward the kind of manhood God has in mind.
In Raising Boys to Men, Durenda shares her almost three decades of experience raising and homeschooling her five boys. She brings wisdom and perspective that will inspire moms to see their sons in a fresh and hopeful way, so they can raise the next generation of boys to be courageous men of faith and action.

Mike Triem and Maggie Scivicque talk about the current donation needs and priorities: large furniture donations and men's, women's, and children's clothing. We also discussed Easter preparations and ARC Thrift Easter offerings that include decorations, clothing, and literally everything that families could need for Easter, at a very affordable price.
For over 50 years arc Thrift Stores have been a part of Colorado. The first store opened in 1968 and now has expanded to multiple retail locations throughout the state. Their mission is to enhance the lives of individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities.
arc Thrift is one of the state’s largest employers of people with IDD. Store programs touch the lives of thousands of people every year.
The proceeds generated through the sale of gently used clothing and household items are distributed to local Arc chapters, such as us, The Arc of Adams County.

Hey everyone, it's Richard Arnold Beattie with Crawford Media in Denver and the host of Counseling Culture. From beginnings, middles and a continuing adventure called life, we all have a story to tell. What's your story? One of the best opportunities is to tell your story to someone who cares enough to listen. It is that kind of listening that is the first step to good and wise counsel. This is a kind of renewable resources in learning how to write and speak your story. We at Counseling Culture want to read and listen to your story. Send us an email to CounseledCulture@gmail.com. or coloradocommunity.org/mental-health
Guests- Rita Schulte LC, Chris Fabry, Author, Radio Host
Connection is what it's all about. The audio guide to Counseling Culture involves the church, clergy, counselors, the culture in our communities. The church is the first place where most individuals go, when they are dealing with Mental Illness, even with serious mental issues. Dr. Michael Stanford a psychiatrist from Houston, Texas writes about this in his book, Madness and Grace: A Practical Guide for Pastoral Care and Serious Mental Illness. Locally in the Denver Metro area there is Colorado Community Church in Aurora, CO. This is a continuing report on Counseling Culture and my conversation with Beth Lang, Director of Special Ministries which include Mental Health Ministries at Coloradocommunity.org. Mike Triem talks with mother Heather Stanton and her son David about a speech and debate club tournament. They are looking for community judges:
Our homeschool speech and debate club will host the Continental Divide Challenge from March 25 - 28 at Colorado Christian University in Lakewood. Approximately 200 students, ages 12-18, from across the country will compete in 14 different speech events (including literature interpretation, informative and persuasive speeches) and 3 debate formats (team policy, parliamentary and values).
All the competitors, parents and coaches, and the volunteer tournament staff would be grateful for your assistance, because we REALLY need you! Tournaments require help from a significant number of adults in the community who are willing to watch, listen, and provide written feedback to the students.
As a community judge, you would be provided with all the necessary training, as well as free parking and snacks and meals (in CCU's beautiful dining hall) during the tournament hours. In turn, you would listen to and evaluate student speakers in a variety of forensic events, then provide constructive written feedback on ballots you turn in at the end of each round.
Judges regularly tell us how thought-provoking, informative, entertaining, and uplifting they have found the time judging, and many even register at the door for additional rounds.
Please consider investing in us students as we learn to communicate effectively and debate critically but graciously.
