Mike Triem Bio:
Mike Triem has been with Crawford Media Group since 1993. He started as an Account Representative for Christian Contemporary Music station, KLZ, before moving to Christian Teaching and Talk KLTT radio in 1995. Mike is currently the General Manager of Crawford Media Group’s Denver stations. Mike has four children and is married, residing in Erie, Colorado. His interests include all things outdoors and exploring the beauty of God’s Creation in Colorado and Oregon.

As Christians around the world remember those who have sacrificed their lives for their faith during Day of the Christian Martyr on June 29, Global Christian Relief is drawing attention to the unrest for Christians in Pakistan.
This week’s passing of resolutions concerning mob lynching and protection of minorities is a step in the right direction, but it’s not enough. On the heels of the recent news of Pakistani Christian Nazir Masih dying at the hands of a religiously motivated mob, America’s leading watchdog organization focused on the plight of persecuted Christians worldwide is calling on the Pakistani government to repeal and ban its anti-blasphemy laws.
David Curry, president and CEO of Global Christian Relief and former commissioner of USCIRF, states: “The passed resolutions this week are a good step forward, but they don’t address the serious cultural issues or blasphemy laws. Christians like Nazir Msih are still being killed by mobs driven by false charges of blasphemy. More must be done, and we need to pressure the Pakistani government to repeal and ban anti-blasphemy laws and punish those who have committed the violence.”
The death of Nazir Masih is what happens when laws are set up in such a way that creates an environment where mobs erupt and innocent people are harmed and killed, a clear indication that things must change in Pakistan.

Liz talks with Don Shenk, Executive Director of the Tide Ministry, about recent reports show that millions of Muslims around the world are beginning to embrace Jesus. Even though they face immense personal cost and risk to themselves and their loved ones. In fact, Iranian officials recently reported that 50,000 of the country’s 75,000 mosques have closed, and there are reports that over a million former Muslims in Iran have come to faith in Jesus in the 21st century. What is happening in Iran is just the tip of the iceberg, as similar movements to Christ are happening across the Muslim world where The Tide ministry is working: Whyare we seeing an increase in Christianity throughout the Muslim world? How does The Tide share the Gospel in Christian persecuted nations? What kind of stories are coming out of countries like Pakistan or Afghanistan where The Tide works?
Don was born to missionary parents in what was then known as Rhodesia, and prior to joining The Tide in 2001 served as a missionary teaching at a Bible School in Zimbabwe, Africa. In addition to lecturing in the classroom at Ekuphileni Bible Institute Don served as Academic Dean, Director of Student Ministries, and also developed and implemented a manual skills training program to enable rural pastors to minister bi-vocationally. Through twenty eight years living in Zimbabwe, and numerous visits to Africa, Eastern Europe and India as a ministry administrator and resource person for church conferences and leadership training events, Don has acquired a wealth of international, cross cultural ministry experience. As the world becomes more and more of a global village, Don’s greatest passion is to reach people for Jesus Christ and to bring them into the Church.
