Sermon Overview
Scripture Passage: Acts 20:35-38
The world often measures a man by his intelligence, strength, or wealth. However, the world often forgets that when we pass away, we leave behind all that we have and take with us all that we are. What will you take with you? What truly matters in a man?
Consider what the Apostle Paul took with him. Acts 20:19 says, “Serving the Lord with all humility of mind, and with many tears, and temptations…”
A man’s life will be measured by his manner.
We must live a life of humility, and the mark of humility is service. Adrian Rogers says, “Humility is an honest estimation of yourself… based on what God says about you. It results primarily in serving others.”
Our manner of life should be marked by heartache.
"Serving the Lord... with many tears." The apostle Paul was a compassionate man. He knew how to weep. He knew how to enter into the sorrows and the hurts of other people.
Our manner of life must also include hardship.
There is no way to live a life that counts and make an impression on this world without making some enemies. That didn’t scare Paul, and it shouldn’t scare us.
A man's life will also be measured by his message.
We will be known for something when we are gone. Our lives will bear a message for others to remember when they think about us. Paul’s life message revolved around repentance toward God and faith in Jesus Christ.
Finally, a man’s life is measured by his motto.
Every man has a life motto; something that motivates, drives, and constrains him. Paul's life motto was: "Remembering the words of Jesus, it is more blessed to give than to receive.” (Acts 20:35) Paul spent his life, not primarily as a receiver, but as a giver. This motto freed Paul from covetousness, idleness, and selfishness. Therefore, his life was blessed.
There is no easy way to have a great life. But if we remember that a man’s life is measured by the manner, the message, and the motto of his life, we will find a life worth living.
Apply it to your life
If you based your life on Paul’s testimony in Acts 20:19, how would you measure up? When we pass away, we leave behind all that we have and take with us all that we are. What will you take with you?

Nothing can happen unless God allows it.
0:03
Sometimes God will allow Satan to do something, because God
0:08
has a higher purpose in mind.
0:17
today, modern-day
0:19
Christians, that don't have
0:21
a grounding in the theology
0:22
of the Old Testament, think
0:24
that everything that's bad
0:26
that happens happens from
0:28
Satan and God has nothing to
0:30
do with that.
0:31
And everything that good
0:32
that happens happens from God.
0:34
And they're in no way able
0:36
to understand oftentimes
0:38
that some of the bad things that
0:40
happen that they think are bad
0:42
are actually part of God's plan.
0:44
And that even though they
0:46
seem bad in the temporal,
0:48
ultimately, there's an
0:49
eternal purpose of God
0:51
that's going on in which God
0:53
is using the bad things, the
0:55
things that we perceive as
0:57
bad for something good. And we
0:59
could not enter into the higher
1:01
good without the temporal,
1:03
bad things that happen,
1:05
so that even what we perceive
1:07
to be bad is oftentimes,
1:08
beloved ones, a blessing.
1:11
So I laid a huge theological
1:14
foundation for that last week.
1:16
And in conjunction with
1:18
that, I talked about the
1:19
fact that we need to
1:21
understand as Christians
1:23
that God's judgment is
1:26
oftentimes a gift.
1:27
Because for example, if
1:30
someone has a child that's
1:32
rebellious, it is oftentimes
1:34
because the child has never
1:37
been disciplined or judged
1:39
for bad behavior.
1:41
So sometimes God, because
1:43
He's a moral God, will bring
1:45
a judgment into the lives of
1:48
His godly ones in order
1:50
to correct them.
1:52
So God's judgments are
1:53
necessary and needed.
1:56
And not only that.
1:58
If God was not to bring His
2:00
judgment upon sin like we
2:03
see so many times
2:04
illustrated in the Hebrew
2:05
Bible, then God would not be
2:08
a moral God.
2:09
Because in order for God to
2:10
be the God who He is, a
2:13
holy, moral God, sin has
2:15
to be punished. And
2:17
that's why God poured forth His
2:19
judgment upon His Son, Yeshua
2:21
the Messiah, for our sins.
2:24
I talked about all those
2:27
things last week, because
2:28
Hannah understood both of
2:32
these dimensions of God.
2:33
She understood that when
2:36
seemingly good things
2:38
happened to her, it was a
2:39
blessing from the Lord.
2:40
But she also submitted when
2:42
things were hard as part of
2:44
God's sovereign purposes for
2:47
her life. So, once again,
2:49
before we move on today, 1
2:51
Samuel opens up in chapter 1,
2:53
verse 6 with the writer of
2:56
Scripture saying that it was the
2:58
Lord that closed Chana's womb.
3:00
They were willing to say,
3:02
"You know what?
3:03
God is involved in this.
3:04
It's hard that Hannah's
3:06
womb is closed.
3:07
She's suffering a lot of
3:08
pain." In fact, the book of
3:10
1 Samuel opens up with
3:12
Hannah in the temple weeping
3:14
in her heart, talking to
3:16
God, praying to God, begging
3:17
God, asking God for a child,
3:20
committing that you would
3:22
dedicate the child to the
3:23
Lord if He would open her womb.
3:25
But she once again
3:27
attributed everything that
3:29
was going on in her life as
3:30
part of God's sovereign
3:31
reign over the host of
3:32
heaven and the inhabitants
3:34
of the earth.
3:35
The scripture continues that
3:36
the Lord heard her prayer.
3:37
And it wasn't long after
3:39
that until she did conceive
3:41
and she bought forth Samuel
3:43
and dedicated him to the Lord.
3:45
And he became one of the
3:47
mightiest prophets that
3:49
Israel ever saw.
3:50
But the time that Hannah's
3:51
wound was closed, although
3:53
it was painful, it was a
3:55
time of preparation.
3:57
Because Hannah was brought
3:59
to a place in her life that
4:00
she said, "Lord, if you give
4:01
me a child, I'm going to
4:03
totally dedicate him to
4:05
you." So let's not separate
4:08
our conception of life in
4:10
the sense that all the bad
4:12
things that happen are from
4:14
the devil, and God has
4:15
nothing to do with them.
4:16
But let's when bad things
4:18
happen, say to the Lord, "Lord,
4:20
how am I to interpret this?
4:21
What does this mean?
4:24
How does this seemingly bad
4:26
situation that I'm in right
4:28
now or that I'm
4:29
experiencing, how does this
4:31
filter into your purposes
4:33
for my life?" Isaiah 45,
4:38
verse 5 and 7 says this.
4:40
"I am the Lord, and there is
4:43
no other; besides me there
4:46
is no God...
4:47
The One forming light and
4:50
creating darkness, causing
4:53
well-being and creating
4:56
calamity..." The King
4:58
James says evil.
4:59
"I am the LORD who does all
5:01
these things." You see,
5:04
beloved ones, His ways are above
5:06
our ways, even as the heavens
5:08
are higher than the earth.
5:10
He has an eternal perspective.
5:11
We can only see in the here
5:13
and the now.
5:15
The writers of scripture
5:16
understood that all of life
5:18
had a purpose.
5:20
For example, when the
5:22
Israelites lost a battle, it
5:24
wasn't just because the
5:26
enemy overpowered them.
5:27
There was something wrong.
5:29
There was a lesson they
5:30
needed to learn.
5:31
Oftentimes, it was because
5:32
they had made allegiances
5:34
with foreign nations.
5:36
Depending on the might of
5:37
the flesh to win the battle
5:39
rather than them on just
5:41
depending on the arm
5:42
of the Lord.
5:43
And so I'm just trying to bring
5:44
you back to Hebraic mindset.
5:46
God is sovereign.
5:48
He is God and there is no other.
5:49
No matter what we're walking
5:51
through in life, like
5:52
Hannah, let's look to the
5:54
Lord and get His mindset on it.
5:57
Let's not just blame it
5:58
on the devil.
5:59
But let's recognize that
6:01
even beyond that, even if
6:02
the devil is involved, he
6:04
can only be involved if
6:06
God allows him.
6:07
Just like Jesus said to
6:09
Pilate, when Jesus said to
6:10
Pilate, "You would have no
6:12
power over me unless it were
6:14
given to you from above." So
6:16
in our life, nothing can
6:17
happen unless God allows it.
6:20
The scripture says, "Not a
6:22
sparrow falls to the ground
6:24
apart from the Father." So
6:25
we always need to be looking
6:26
to God alone rather than
6:29
having this dualistic
6:30
mindset about the devil
6:33
being over here, God being over
6:34
here. The two processes of what
6:38
the actions are never can meet.
6:40
Sometimes God will allow
6:43
Satan to do something
6:44
because God has a higher
6:46
purpose in mind, just like
6:48
in the life of the Apostle
6:49
Paul, where Paul said there
6:52
was a messenger of Satan,
6:55
Paul said, "that was given
6:57
to him, that was given to
6:58
Paul to torment him in his
7:00
flesh, in his body.
7:02
And Paul prayed to the Lord,
7:03
"Lord, take it away.
7:05
Take it away.
7:06
Lord, take away this pain,
7:08
this torment, this messenger
7:10
of Satan, this thorn in the
7:12
flesh from the enemy." And
7:14
Paul said that it was
7:15
revealed to him that God was
7:18
the one that sent this thorn
7:20
in the flesh, this messenger
7:21
of Satan, to keep Paul from
7:23
exalting himself because of
7:27
the abundance of the revelation
7:28
that Paul had received.
7:30
You see, the natural
7:31
tendency of the flesh is
7:33
that when we receive such
7:34
revelation, our natural
7:36
disposition is to get puffed up.
7:38
But to keep Paul from
7:40
getting puffed up, to
7:42
protect him, God sent this
7:45
messenger of Satan.
7:46
Notice how the two are working.
7:48
God is sovereign but God is
7:50
using Satan for His own purpose.
7:51
Satan just is taking
7:53
glee in the
7:54
fact that he's causing
7:55
torment to Paul, but God's
7:56
got a higher purpose in it,
7:58
and God's purpose is for good.
8:00
So this messenger of Satan
8:02
comes to keep Paul
8:04
from exalting himself.
8:05
Paul show praise to the Lord.
8:07
"Lord, take this away."
8:08
Finally, God says, "No,
8:11
Paul, My power will be
8:13
perfected in your weakness
8:14
and My strength will be
8:16
sufficient for you." Then
8:17
Paul goes on.
8:18
He says, "Therefore, I'd
8:20
rather boast in my weakness
8:21
because in my weakness His
8:23
strength is being
8:24
perfected." So do you see,
8:26
beloved one, what I'm
8:27
wanting to impart to your
8:28
soul right now?
8:29
Don't have this dualistic
8:31
mindset of the devil did this.
8:33
No. Let's whatever happens
8:35
to us in life...
8:36
I'm not saying the devil
8:37
never does anything.
8:38
But whatever happens, let's
8:39
say, "Lord, what are you
8:41
saying in this?
8:42
What's your mind in all this?
8:44
Because I know that You
8:45
cause all things to work
8:47
together for good."
8:48
RABBI SCHNEIDER>> Back to our
8:49
text. The song of Chana or the
8:52
song of Hannah, we started
8:53
out in chapter 1, verse 6.
8:55
That her womb was closed.
8:57
And the author of the text
8:58
says that the Lord had
9:00
closed her womb.
9:01
And then after going to the
9:03
temple and praying and
9:04
saying, "Lord, if you open
9:05
my womb," Chana said to the
9:07
Lord, "I'll dedicate my
9:08
child to you." And sure enough,
9:11
the Lord opens her womb, she
9:12
conceives the Prophet Samuel.
9:15
After she had weaned him,
9:17
she brought him to the temple.
9:19
And that's where we pick up
9:20
now in chapter 2, which is
9:22
the point of our sermon
9:24
series here, the Song of
9:26
Chana or Hannah.
9:28
Last week I looked at verse 1.
9:29
"Then Hannah prayed and
9:31
said, 'My heart exults in
9:33
the LORD; my horn is exalted
9:35
in YHWH the LORD...
9:37
My mouth speaks boldly
9:39
against my enemies, because
9:42
I rejoice in Your
9:43
salvation." You see, what
9:45
the devil meant for evil,
9:47
God used for good.
9:50
In other words, the devil might
9:51
have an assignment against us.
9:53
She said, "Because I rejoice
9:55
now against my enemy..." She
9:57
might have understood that
9:58
it was the enemy at work
9:59
that was keeping her womb close.
10:00
But now she understood that
10:02
what he meant for evil, God
10:04
meant for good.
10:05
He was ultimately involved
10:06
in all of it.
10:07
And now she had victory
10:08
over her enemy.
10:10
So she said, "My mouth
10:11
speaks boldly against my
10:14
enemies, because I rejoice
10:16
in Your salvation." Did you
10:19
know, beloved one, that
10:21
Yeshua promised you that as
10:23
you continue to cling to
10:25
Him, as you continue to make
10:27
Him your God and Savior, He
10:29
is going to bring you to a
10:30
place where you will exalt
10:32
over your enemies, over all
10:35
those that accused you, over
10:37
every spirit that's
10:38
condemned you, over
10:39
everybody that's laughed at you.
10:41
You will have the last laugh
10:43
in Messiah Yeshua.
10:44
Notice what Hannah says.
10:46
"My mouth speaks boldly
10:48
against my enemies..." Jesus
10:51
said, "I will cause those
10:54
that accused you to bow down
10:58
and to know that I have loved
11:01
you," in the book of Revelation.
11:03
So I want you to know you're
11:04
going to do what Chana did.
11:05
As you continue to put
11:07
Yeshua first in your life,
11:08
you're going to come to a
11:09
place in your life where
11:11
every accusing voice that
11:13
has been brought against you,
11:14
you will condemn. This is the
11:16
Word of the Lord and His story
11:19
written over your life. You
11:21
will have the ultimate victory.
11:24
You will have the last laugh.
11:26
Hold on, be strong because
11:27
God is going to bring you to
11:30
a victorious conclusion
11:31
in your life.
11:33
You may lose some battles,
11:35
beloved child of God, but
11:37
you will win the war.
11:40
It looked like Jesus had
11:41
lost when He was on the
11:43
cross and they were laughing
11:44
at Him and mocking Him and
11:46
spitting on Him, when they
11:48
thrust the spear on His
11:49
side, when they thrust the
11:51
thorn of crowns on His head.
11:53
It might have looked like
11:55
they had the last laugh.
11:56
But Yeshua rose from the dead.
12:02
And now He sits at the right
12:03
hand of God.
12:05
Every knee will bow, every
12:06
tongue confess that Yeshua
12:08
HaMashiach is Lord, to the
12:10
glory of God the Father.
12:14
And beloved, the same thing
12:15
is going to happen in your life.
12:16
Every mouth that has accused
12:18
you in judgment, you will
12:20
condemn and you continue to live
12:22
for Jesus unto the very end.
12:25
Baruch Hashem. Blessed
12:26
be the name of the Lord.
12:28
Victory is over your life.
12:29
Chana continues in verse 2.
12:31
"There is no one holy like YHWH.
12:37
There is no one holy like
12:39
LORD..." Once again, YHWH is
12:42
God's holy, personal
12:44
covenant name used 7,000
12:47
times in the Hebrew Bible.
12:50
"There is no one holy like
12:52
YHWH, indeed," she
12:54
continues, "there is no one
12:56
besides You, nor is there
12:59
any rock like our God."
13:01
Notice, again, her filter.
13:02
"There is no one besides
13:05
you," She said.
13:06
This is what I've been
13:07
trying to hammer last week
13:09
and this week.
13:10
Please, again, listen to
13:11
last week's message.
13:12
We have to interpret life
13:14
only through the
13:15
filter of the fact that
13:16
there is one sovereign God.
13:18
And even when bad things happen,
13:20
we have to ask God, "What
13:22
are you saying to me in this?
13:23
What can I learn from this?
13:25
How can I respond to this?
13:26
How can I put my foot
13:28
down over this?
13:29
How can I handle this so
13:30
that it will be used for
13:31
good in my life?"
13:32
Because at the end of the
13:33
day, there's only one God.
13:34
Every knee will bow and
13:36
every tongue confess that
13:37
Yeshua HaMashiach is Lord.
13:39
So Hannah interpreted both
13:42
the hard times in her life
13:43
and the good times in her
13:44
life through the fact that
13:45
there was only one sovereign.
13:47
"...there is no one like
13:49
you, there's no one besides
13:51
you, nor is there any rock
13:53
like our God." Let's
13:55
continue in verse 3.
13:57
"Boast no more so very
13:59
proudly, do not let
14:01
arrogance come out of your
14:03
mouth; for the LORD is
14:05
God..." Yahweh is God.
14:07
He is Elohim.
14:09
"...the LORD is a God of
14:11
knowledge, and with Him actions
14:13
are weighed." Notice the first
14:15
point she's making here. Boast
14:17
no more so very proudly... for
14:20
the Lord Yahweh alone is God.
14:22
You know, today, when I look
14:24
at secular television, and I
14:26
see all the moves that people
14:28
are making, you know, like
14:29
this all about me. Everything
14:30
is me, me, me, me. me.
14:32
"Look at me.
14:33
Look at me.
14:33
Look at this.
14:34
Look at this.
14:35
Look at this cute, little
14:36
gesture. Look at this dance
14:38
move. Look at this style."
14:39
Notice it's all focused on the
14:42
exultation and the pushing
14:44
forth of me.
14:46
But Chana had a revelation
14:49
of the Holy One.
14:51
And her response in this
14:52
revelation was "there is no
14:53
one holy like the LORD,
14:56
indeed, there's no one beside
14:57
You... Boast no more so very
15:01
proudly." I wonder how many,
15:04
when the whole world is
15:07
standing before Yahweh naked
15:11
and transparent in His
15:14
power, in the revelation of
15:16
His glory, I wonder how many
15:19
will be acting before Him
15:21
like they do now.
15:22
I wonder how many will have
15:25
the same personality that
15:27
they have right now.
15:29
No, it'll be completely,
15:31
absolutely radically change.
15:35
Because you know what the
15:36
best response is to have before
15:38
God, first of all? Silence.
15:41
Just to be silent before Him.
15:45
That's what Job did.
15:48
When God finally brought Job
15:50
into the fullness of
15:51
revelation, Job was trying
15:52
to interpret what had
15:53
happened in his life.
15:55
The bad things that had
15:56
happened, he started
15:57
speaking about this and that
15:58
and accusing God, and all
16:00
the counselors of his started
16:03
giving him advice.
16:04
Finally, when God showed up, you
16:05
know what their response was?
16:07
They put their hand over
16:08
their mouth. Silence.
16:10
So I want you to ask yourself
16:14
for a second, is the way that
16:18
you act, is your personality,
16:20
is it exalting self?
16:23
Is it proud?
16:24
Is it like, "Look at me,
16:28
look at me, look at me"?
16:30
You know, with the cutesy
16:33
moves that everybody has
16:34
today, and the fancy
16:35
gestures and the eye
16:36
movements and the face
16:37
movements, the expressions.
16:40
How are you going to feel
16:46
when you stand before the Lord?
16:48
Will that type of
16:49
personification, of your
16:50
essence, of who you are, be
16:52
holy and acceptable and
16:54
clear and cleansed?
16:56
I mean, is what you're doing
16:57
now, is it going to be able
16:59
to stand before the Lord in
17:02
the fullness of His
17:03
glory and power?
17:05
And if the way that you
17:06
behave now, or if that what
17:08
you're receiving into your
17:10
life, the shows that you're
17:11
watching on television, the
17:13
types of personalities and
17:15
the types of energy that
17:16
you're receiving, which is
17:18
centered in the me, in the
17:20
individual sense of exalting
17:23
self and in pride, if what
17:25
you're doing now and what
17:28
you're receiving now will
17:30
not be able to hold up when
17:31
you stand before God in the
17:33
day of His power, what that
17:35
says is we have to change
17:37
what we're doing now, so
17:39
that what we're doing now
17:41
will stand in His power as if
17:43
it was the day of God's power.
17:44
In an essence, what I'm
17:46
saying to you, beloved, is
17:47
we need to repent.
17:48
Hannah realized that all
17:52
proudness needs to be
17:54
abyssed, because there's
17:57
only one that's holy.
17:58
He's God in heaven above and
18:01
the earth beneath.
18:02
Whether her womb was opened
18:03
or closed, she had to give
18:04
honor to the Lord and filter
18:06
all her life through Him and
18:08
walk before Him with a sense
18:11
of His Holiness, a sense of
18:13
His beauty, and a sense
18:14
of His glory.
18:15
So I want to challenge you
18:16
and I today, beloved one,
18:18
let's lead a life that
18:20
reflects something similar
18:23
to the Spirit and
18:24
disposition of Hannah.
18:26
God is holy, and he's
18:28
calling you and I to be holy.
18:30
Now is the day of salvation.
18:32
If today you're hearing His
18:34
voice, repent and
18:35
change your life.
18:37
RABBI SCHNEIDER>> God's love
18:38
demands a response.
18:40
In other words, the love of
18:42
God is calling us to respond.
18:45
This is why Jesus said, "If
18:48
you love me," He said,
18:49
"you'll keep My
18:50
commandments." So as I think
18:53
about this in my own life, I
18:54
think of three areas in my
18:56
life that the love of God is
18:58
demanding a response from:
18:59
what I do with my time, what
19:01
I do with my talent, and
19:04
what I do with my treasure.
19:05
And I'm always trying to
19:06
examine myself as to whether
19:08
I'm giving myself
19:10
fully to the Lord.
19:11
As we come to the end of the
19:12
broadcast today, I would
19:14
simply ask you, if the Holy
19:16
Spirit is feeding you through
19:17
this ministry, and you feel
19:19
him leading, you urging you
19:21
to sow your financial gifts
19:22
unto the Lord through
19:24
Discovering the Jewish Jesus
19:25
today, just be obedient.
19:27
Because when we're obedient,
19:28
a channel is opened up in
19:31
our heart for the Spirit of the
19:32
Lord to take possession of us.
19:34
And beloved, not only that.
19:35
By sowing to the Lord
19:37
through this ministry,
19:38
you'll be a channel that
19:39
will be used to the Lord
19:40
to bless others.

Welcome to Call to Freedom. The work, the Lord wants you to do. The work that God wants you to do and we are assigned to different work. But the greatest work here is revealed in the stillness of trusting in Him. That's what it is. That's your trust in God. Do you trust Him? Do you really trust Him? Oh, I've come up to those kind of walls and said, "Lord, do I really trust you? Do I trust you, Lord, with everything in my life?" And then the truth comes out. We aren't going to cover up the truth. No, we're not going to put the truth under a basket or under a bushel basket or anything like that. We're going to come up with the fact that we want the God of truth to reveal to us where we stand with Him. That's so important, friend. It really is. So the work the Lord wants you to do is revealed in the stillness of trusting in Him. You are blessed to dispense for in Him you live and move and have your being. And before Kimberly comes on, I want to remind you that you don't have to fight the devil. You don't have to. No, relax in God's arms because the Son of God appeared for this purpose that He might destroy. Destroy forever the works of the devil. That's first John 3, 8b. So remember that when you're thinking, "I'm fighting the devil all day long." No, you're not. You may be fighting your flesh, but you're not fighting the devil. He's defeated. God bless you. And welcome to the program, Kimberly. So that was such a great intro for what we're talking about today because we don't have to fight. We can trust that God has it. Yes. You and I have been talking about that all day. That's what we started out talking about this morning. And when we learn to trust that this really is God's story, it's all His plan. He wrote it out. He's the author and the finisher. Yes. Of our stories, every one of us, the journey that we're on, we haven't made any mistakes. We haven't gone off the path. He knew exactly what was going to happen. And he knows how to restore, how to redeem, how to help us learn to trust Him. Yes. And so then we're not fighting. We're not the ones fighting. It's not in our hands to do the fighting. It's in His hands to do the fighting. No, yes. And so we go talking a little bit about Jesus and how you can actually call Him relaxed. You can describe Jesus as being relaxed. And we see it in the way that He was taking a nap in the boat when the storm hit. And the disciples were panicked. You know, the storm was rocking the boat. And these were grown men who were fishermen. Many of them were, not all of them, but many of them were very accustomed to the sea, to being in a boat, to fishing, and yes, to storms. So here comes a storm and they're panicked. It must have been quite a storm. That might have been a really big one. I remember looking up the word for the storm and in the Greek it's the word "lotty-lops". "Lotty-lops" is, it's like a tornado. So that's a big storm? Yes. Were there any storms when you were in Israel? I did not get to experience anything that was violent. We did have rain. It was beautiful rain. It was just as the Lord would talk about that this land, this promised land, will be watered by the rains of heaven. And there were gentle rains that would last all day and soak us. But no, I didn't get to see anything that was really violent like that. And just the way that we see Jesus taking a nap during a violent storm, that's what he came to show us, that when something comes up that rocks our world, even if it's just a thought in our mind, instead of trying to fight it on our own, bring it to him. Let the Lord know this is what you are struggling with, this is your battle right now. And he is happy to take it. He is happy to do the work for us. And we learn to trust that this whole life is in his hands. Yes. Yes. Second Corinthians 5/18 says that God has made all things new. And he has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus' sacrifice. And He has given us that ministry of reconciliation. We can be reconciled to where we are at in life. We can reconcile ourselves to what it looks like right now for us. We can reconcile it because we can trust the author, the one who wrote our story for us. And when we lay down our pride and our arrogance, thinking that we've got something that we can do to make our lives better, to straighten them out, to fill in the blank, whatever you think you can do for your life, you can't. You can't do anything without Him. I love Philippians 4, 11-13. It tells us of learning the secret of being filled and going hungry. Learning to be content in whatever circumstances we find ourselves in. Of having abundance and suffering need, we can do all of this life. We can walk every part of this journey through Christ who strengthens us. And without Him, we can do nothing. So I was reading in Isaiah 61, "The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me." I just want the listeners, anyone listening, to really think about how it's the Spirit of the Lord God who is upon you. Because the Lord has anointed you. He has sent you as a herald of joy to the humble to bind up the wounded of heart, to proclaim release to the captives and freedom to the prisoners, to proclaim a year of the Lord's favor and a day of vindication by our God. It's His day. It's His favor. He has anointed you to comfort all who mourn, to provide for the mourners in Zion. To give them a turban instead of ashes, that would be a crown. Instead of having your head covered with ashes, you would have a glorious crown of His. Festive ointment instead of mourning a garment of splendor instead of a drooping spirit. And they shall be called the oaks of righteousness. That's you listening. You shall be called the oaks of righteousness planted by the Lord for His glory. And you will build the ancient ruins, raise up the desolations of old and renew the ruined cities, the desolations of many ages. Wow! What a great storyline! To walk out. And yes, if we're renewing and rebuilding and raising up the things that have been ruined and devastated, that means that we will experience some ruin and some devastation. Now most of us listening to you, Kimberly, we see buildings that are torn down, destroyed, cities that are leveled by tornado. But this has got a metaphor meaning, doesn't it? Yes, it does. Yes. And we can talk about the ruins in our own life, the things that we have lost, relationships that have fallen apart, and the times that we have felt rejection, those are ruins, the times that we have been fired, that we have lost a position or a career, lost a business, those are devastations. The times that we have lost a home, lost a car, a vehicle, you know, whether it's in a wreck or where we've lost our own health in our bodies, those are desolations. And this scripture is telling us that they shall be rebuilt. Praise God. That those of us that come into alignment and agreement with the Lord, those of us who trust Him with all our hearts, and we do not lean on our own understanding, we can actually walk through those devastations and desolations, and we can come out on the other side, seeing, some of us have gone through so much that it has become a familiar thing. It's a familiar thing to have lost in our lives. And for those of us that have had so much loss, we can learn to sing even in the middle of the loss. We can learn to give praise, night and day. Night and day means in the darkest of your moments, as well as the brightest of your moments. I recently had the blessed opportunity of rebuilding an ancient ruin. And this ancient ruin was with a friend, a friend of mine that I was friends with for decades before I ever had children. And she ended up siding with my daughters five years ago when our family was really split. She came back to our church really recently, and in these last few months that I've seen her, I've really seen a grief and a misery hanging on her. About three months ago, she was really transparent with me, and she let me know that returning to a church setting was actually really difficult because of the rejection that she has experienced in life. And you know, we all have experienced that. It's not hard to see rejection even in the Christian circles, in churches. It happens all the time. That's really, really hard because this is supposed to be the body of Christ. You know, to suffer rejection there is very devastating. And I just remember feeling led to apologize to her for any part that I may have played in her woundings. And I prayed for her that the chains of hurt and pain and rejection would just fall off of her and that her joy would be renewed. And I wasn't even sure of what my part was in the wounding of her soul. I wasn't sure that I had done anything. But I didn't really consider that something that mattered. You know, when we are the hands and feet of Jesus, we just go with healing in our hands. And I don't know if God plays a part in wounding us or if we wound ourselves by leaving his covering. You know, he's got a shelter for us and he wants to cover us with his ways. We're the ones who reject his ways. And I believe that's how the wounding happens in us. And so he is our great comforter. Our Lord is the one who wraps us up and brings healing to us. He longs for us to be reconciled to him so much that he took the consequences of our rebellion on himself. And he's asked us to be like him. So he reconciled us to himself and he's given us the ministry of reconciliation. We're made to do that to be like him. So that was not hard for me to want to bring reconciliation with this old friend of mine. The twist is she's a counselor and she is recently counseled with four different people. She just told me this. Four different people have been dealing with DHS in their parenting. And you know, when DHS gets involved in your parenting, that's a rough road. That is really hard. And I do know that from experience. For those of you who are listening that have not heard of DHS and you haven't been involved in anything like that, it's the department of human services. Those are the people that can take your children away if you get too much on your too many different reports. That's reports given. So they're a very powerful department in the government. They are. DHS, yes. Right. And she's been working with these parents who are just brokenhearted over having to deal with DHS. And it just kind of nod at her. She finally apologized to me just very recently for reporting me to DHS instead of talking to me. And I sat there without flinching, without hesitation. I told her, "You are so forgiven and you are so it's completely wiped clean. The slate is wiped clean. You are released. You don't have to ever think about that again." And as I was saying that to her, I was saying it because it had been so wiped clean in me. I didn't even remember that she had reported me to DHS. Well, your mother remembered. Well, you can let it go too. We'll just wipe this slate clean, mom. Because when people charge something like that without looking into the truth or the facts or the information given, and they just kind of bought because of their own willpower or their own opinions or prejudices, they decide to go on sides. And Kimberly, that can be so harmful. Well, like you are talking about this lady, and it seems like she has been dragging along this guilt from what happened many years ago. Well, yes, and it did feel like ruins when it first happened to me and trying to sift through the wreckage of my family, my relationship with my daughters, sifting through reports from DHS and what they were requiring of me, that felt like ruins, devastation. And don't forget, Isaiah 61 tells us that we will raise up those ruins, that they will be rebuilt, that the desolations and devastations of old will no longer be desolate and devastated. You know, that is through the ministry of reconciliation. So where you might feel like there's failure, it can actually be something that's turned into pre-vailure, prevailing. And we don't have to feel like there's fail, that we have failed. But we can feel that we've prevailed. That's right. In 2 Corinthians 5 verse 18 that you were reading, the 19th verse, Kimberly, is so good that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them. He has committed to us the word of reconciliation. Now in the literal Greek it says, he has placed in us the word of reconciliation. So so many times I say, oh, that's not in me, Lord. I just can't do that. I just can't forgive. It hurts too much, Lord. It's just too, it happened and it was too bad. I just can't do it. Well, he's placed in us, each of us that have received Jesus, the word of reconciliation coming together again. I believe it. Yes. Yes. I believe it. I've walked it out and that is a miracle to me. And so when I give you this testimony of this happening, I'm giving a miracle report because I didn't remember. Wow. Holy Spirit can actually wipe something so clean. If you have ever been a parent and have had someone report you to DHS, it's big. That's a big deal. And I'm sorry, I'm laughing. It's just so now it's just so laughable, Kimberly. It really is. It's not wonderful that we can that we can actually see that we have prevailed that we didn't fail that we have prevailed. And one way that I could keep it in ruins is to hang on to the unforgiveness and the bitterness to keep recalling that to my mind and be bitter about it. But unforgiveness does not do harm to the other person. It is poison to me if I keep bringing it up. And so letting that go and letting Holy Spirit do a miracle of wiping it completely clean. That is the most amazing rebuilding of ancient ruins right there. That's right. If you would have brought up to her as she was apologizing to you that, you know, when you did that, it hurt me so bad. You could have said something like that because your emotions were so strained at the time. And it might have hurt her more deeply instead of what what did you say? It didn't even it didn't even well. I didn't even remember it. So I just told her. Yes. I just told her that you are completely released and totally forgiven. That's not even something to be remembered. That's so good. And so now you can lead the listeners into something like that too because there are some of you listening. You have not been reconciled to a person. I don't care if it's an ex-husband ex-wife, children, whatever it is. There is unforgiveness there and you haven't been reconciled to them. And Kimberly, I would love to have you say something on behalf of being free of this and releasing it in Jesus name. Yes. Well, it takes the trust so good, it is so sweet to trust in Jesus. Right? It takes the trust. In fact, I was just reading again in Isaiah 30. It's instillness and quiet that your triumph comes. It's in repentance and rest. It's in calm confidence and trust that your victory comes. And that is Isaiah 30 verse 15. When we are so confident and quiet and calm, you know, just calmly resting in this journey that has just happened to us. It's happened. We can't fix it. We can't make it any different than what happened. It is part of our story now. Whatever that hurt is, whatever the devastation is, whatever the ruin is, it's part of our story. It's happened. So we can't change it. But wow, when we trust the Lord, he can change it. He can do something that wipes it so clean. You don't even remember that you don't even feel the pain. When it's brought up again. Yes. And that is true of me. I'm able to give this testimony because he did it for me. And that means he can do it for you. He can. And he will. The scripture out of Isaiah 27 verse 4. The Lord is speaking and he is saying, there is no anger in me. If someone offers me thorns and thistles, I will march into battle against him and burn them up. I'll set them all on fire. So what I'm saying here is that our bitterness, our resentment, our unforgiveness is thorns and thistles. There are poisonous to us. And God wants us to bring them to him. When we bring those thorns and thistles to him, he'll burn them up. He'll set them on fire and they will not ever even be remembered. That's a glorious piece of news right there. That's miraculous. And the verse goes on to say, Isaiah 27, the last of verse 4, let him rely on my protection. Not on those thorns and thistles. That's right. Let him rely on me. Let him make peace with me. Let him be my friend. You know, he is the one who chose to take all the consequences of these journeys that are broken and full of pain and sorrow and suffering. He was a man of sorrows, acquainted with grief. He chose to take that for us so that we could live in the freedom with him. Where are the ones that make the decision whether or not we're going to let it go and let him burn them up? Let him have it. There are two of my children who are in great opposition with each other very often. They're my oil and water children. Their personalities from the very beginning, it was just oil and water. And last night, Matthew and I were praying for those ruins to be restored. And you know what? I don't ever have to speak a word to them. I know absolutely for sure that they shall be restored. We're asking according to the Father's will, he wants us to be reconciled to each other and reconciled to him. And so we're asking according to his word, according to his will. And then we know that he is in it and he will work it out. It's not even up to us. It's up to him. He'll bring the right people, he'll bring the right messages, the right songs, the right conviction to their heart. He's the only one who knows how to get in there and do that. I have a tendency to want to be that mouth and do it. I know. I know. Parents can relate to you Kimberly. But wow, is it a wonderful thing to lay it down and say, you know what? This isn't my responsibility. It's not for me to do. It's God's responsibility and all I do is simply respond. My responsibility is a response to his ability. He's saying to us, be still. Just be still and know that I am God. I'm going to take care of this. Do you really believe that I'm going to take care of us? Then let's not hear anymore about this. That's what God is saying to us. Oh, but God, I got such a great idea here. Why don't we do and we go off on our own tangents. We do. We have a tendency to do that. Yeah. But when we recognize that we can do nothing without him, that it is Christ's strength in us. It's all him in us. And we're simply vessels. We're just walking it out. When we recognize that, that's when the real freedom, the real rest, the real relaxation comes. Because he has it all figured out and we can truly leave it in his hands and let him do a perfect work. That's right. Each one of us has an issue, Kimberly. Each one of us, it's either finances or relationships or health, but we have issues and we just need to relax and rest in his care. That's what you were you were teaching last week and that's what you're teaching right now. And that's fear. And we can thank God for making us weak so that he can be glorified and his strength can be perfected in our weakness because he is a good, good father. And where we fail, he prevails. And that is how it should be that he would get all the glory. Yes, amen. To God be the glory, praise the Lord. Thank you so much for this teaching, Kimberly. I needed it. I really did to know that that forgiveness can flow even to someone who has offended us that we don't even remember. I love it. I love how Holy Spirit heals. And so I hope that you're listening today. You're realizing that God has this for you. In Jesus name, I thank you. And I thank you, Kimberly and God bless you and everyone out there. Take joy. Liz talks with Brian Fenimore, Founder and President of Plumbline Ministries about his mission to teach the Kingdom of God and to reveal the Father’s love to anyone who has grown up with religious/legalistic teachings and have thought that God was mad or disappointed with them.

This is Liz Frenzel with Crawford Media Group in Denver and today our guest is Brian Phanamore, founder and president of Plumline Ministries, author of numerous books and teaching series and international speaker. We'll be talking about his ministry and their mission to equip believers to walk in the destinies God has for us. Welcome to our program Brian. Thank you. It's good to be with you today. Brian, I'm a little biased because I know what an amazing teacher you are and I think everyone needs to hear your teachings on the kingdom. But I'll let you tell us about Plumline Ministries and what your mission and vision is for it. Sure, thank you Liz. All right, well to start with we felt like Plumline was called into existence to actually have an overarching vision which is to reveal who God is as a father and we believe the mission is kind of twofold after that that were to do this by demonstrating the power of the Holy Spirit through the gifts and calls that he has and equip people in that. And then we also believe our standard is to lift up a higher standard of who the Lord Jesus Christ is for people. And so we believe not only does our vision do that but the mission that we have as a group causes that to take place. So when you say the callings of the Holy Spirit, what exactly are you referring to in that? Well, we see that the call that Jesus actually gives us in regard to the Great Commission. That's one of the calls that we've been given but we see in First Corinthians chapter 12 specifically that we are called to let the Holy Spirit do his ministry through us. So all of us are called into walking and demonstrating Jesus and the Holy Spirit's power. Is that the gifts of the Spirit? Yeah, they would be the gifts of the Spirit. It would also be some of the stuff that we see in Ephesians chapter 4 where it talks about the Lord giving certain ministries to equip the body of Christ to do the work of ministry. And is that something that they just go out and try and do or is that Holy Spirit led? Yeah, it's supposed to be led by the Lord. There seems to be a process that we see in the New Testament that when Jesus created the Great Commission and told us to go make disciples of the nation, he gave us, we're supposed to do everything he did. So he raises up teachers and leaders to actually equip the body of Christ to do this. So in our culture we kind of have, well, just go read the book and figure it out, but in the New Testament we have more of a mentoring lifestyle that's being demonstrated and that's kind of what we embrace at Plumline. So how long have you been doing your ministry and how did you get started with it? Yeah, I've been doing it for 30 years now and I was actually working with another ministry and at the time the ministry believed that it was time for them to move on to a different location and as my wife and I've buried about it, we felt that it was time for a Plumline to venture out from that ministry and start going full time and so when we did it we did some test pilots in different cities to see what kind of response and if the Lord was in it and as we did we saw him in the middle of it and that's the direction we went ultimately. So when you say you have a ministry is it a church that you actually go to or how does how does your ministry work? Yeah so the ministry has a threefold application when it goes out it we believe the Lord calls us to different regions and when we go into those regions we believe that our job is to not only connect with the body of Christ in that region but to connect with the region itself outside of the body of Christ so we try to work with churches and we also try to just do outreach in the community and so we'll do venues with churches and we'll also work with just getting venues ourselves and inviting the community ended those trainings or the seminars or the one-day events we do. Which leads me to my next question what are some of the trainings and seminars that you do? Yeah we at Plumline we believe our goal is to actually equip the saints and we're very specific on what we believe that means we have an idea of what discipleship looks like and then out of that model we try to equip and so we have one-day seminars we do we have ongoing training that we come in and do we do just sometimes just services with church but our goal is to help people identify the callings and gifts they have in their life to equip them with what is their call how they identify that and then equip them in the ministry of the spirit and then teach them a discipleship model that they can learn to actually become a functional disciple and then help other people come into the kingdom and become disciples so it's a mentorship repeat type of training. When you say help people figure out the call that God has on their lives what would be an example of that? Well what we try to do is usually when people come to the Lord they have a sense of salvation but God has a greater plan we see a scripture that God actually creates people to have a specific impact and so what we do is we take them through teaching them how the scripture talks about that and then we at a certain section of a school we do we sit down and we ask them what's called value questions because when you begin to ask people their values what they have a desire to do what would it look like if God was working through them what we get out of asking all these questions is we find out that destiny that God has placed in people's heart has been there since they were created and their mother's womb and but no one's ever asked them very technical questions to discover that and we take them through that process to discover that. Well it would be one of those questions I know that you have a whole series but what would be one question that would help people to kind of realize what they've been called to do. Well most people have desires to do stuff and so what we try to do either they have desires to do stuff but they haven't defined it or they have fears that keep them from asking those questions and so what we try to do is ask questions that you can only do one thing in your life and only one thing what would it what would that be and if people say well I don't know we say well what gives life to you what brings a desire for you to actually want to worship or follow the Lord and we try to get people to throw off things that are interested and really for a focus in on their core what is the core value that God has put inside of them and as we do that then they're able to say well I have a desire to help people and then we talk about what would that look like and if you could serve people what's the way you feel life and how you serve and what we do is we just kind of sift through all the things people might not have looked at or considered and try to point them to well this is where did that desire come from if it points to serving people it reflects that God's grace is touching you and we help people understand that and then begin to ask and focus in a very specific area so it's not just in ministry I think a lot of Christians they have this idea that if they're not doing something for the Lord in church serving in church or doing ministry or being a missionary in Africa that they're not doing what they should be doing is that right or is this these desires something even if somebody wanted to be a fireman or a nurse yeah and that's what we ended up doing is most people always believe that God's call is that which you just said be in a missionary or pastor when we've been doing this for the last 20 years we've been helping people discover they're supposed to be business leaders or politicians or start a company or be a better parent actually the goal is God has put this in everybody and we just help him discover what that is and then say what Christ is actually through the teaching of the gospel and what we see in the New Testament he wants you to actually be the best at that thing with the grace of God and so we kind of try to help people see that do you have a story that you could share as an example of how Plumline has made a difference in somebody's life wow I have many stories the one that I always like telling is several years ago I'd had the opportunity to travel with a group of people in Colorado and do some training and as we were going to a restaurant I was going to buy everyone dinner we ended up I was talking to a lady behind the counter she was waiting for me to pay for once food and as we were there I could sense the Lord wanted me to share his love with her and he gave me three things the first thing was that she enjoyed music the second thing was that she likes writing and developing music and the third thing was the impact that her music was gonna have later in our life and I went through a process of just sharing that with her and she didn't kind of understand that she was kind of caught off guard how do you know these things I'd try to share with her where God loves you he loves telling these things to people to open them up and she kept having this encounter where she was trying to reach for something as I was sharing that with her and when we got done she kind of didn't understand all that but someone that was with me started to explain to her that that was Christ trying to make himself known to she kept having a sense of the love of God swirling around her and she was trying to capture it and he's and my friend kind of explained her well that's Jesus inviting you into the kingdom and she received the Lord right there got wonderfully saved and we gave her her our Bible and we just kind of do stuff like that we're trying to tell teach people and how to walk out normal Christianity the way we see it in the New Testament well that is what we said earlier about one of the gifts of the spirit as a word of knowledge so the you're telling her something that God told you straight to her heart and that affected her the probably the rest of her life yeah it changed your life from that point on so it was really wonderful what are your future goals or upcoming projects for the ministry well the future goals of the ministry is it's coming in over our arching goal we want to equip as many people as we can in the ministry and our project is to develop different trainings or courses or one-based seminars to take different aspects of either how to get whole as a believer or how to learn to reach out and connect with Christians and non-Christians to reveal who Christ is and so we'll come in a different seasons depending on how the Lord leads us and we'll teach things like how do you advance the kingdom how do you actually preach the gospel to people I mean we see all these things in the New Testament but we have very little modeling of that going on and so we believe in a plumb line it's our job to be very detailed and give examples and give people opportunities to do what Jesus commanded us to we've been visiting with Brian Fenimore founder and president of Plumb line ministries and we've been talking about his ministry and how they equip believers to walk in the destiny God has for them Brian what is one message or takeaway that you'd like to leave our listeners with today well I think one of them is that God is a wonderful parent and that he loves his children deeply and that one of the most exciting transformations that happens to you is when you discover him as a father actually that actually wants to embrace you be nearer to you just as Jesus described and I think that's could be different for so many people because I think a lot of them have the sense that God has mad at them or disappointed in them or pointing a finger at them and that's so different than what I think they've learned their whole lives yeah I would agree with you where can people learn more about your ministry find your books and either get involved or support it yeah and so when I'm out in the region in Colorado I come out once a month and what I usually do is direct people to our website which is Plumb line m the letter m dot com and there you can find not only information events that we do but you can also find our resources and you can find online training or if that seems difficult just look up Brian Fenimore on whatever search engine and it should take you to Plumb line's web page are you only on your website or are you in other platforms like YouTube or something else like that yeah great question we're on YouTube we have a YouTube channel called Plumb line ministries and I'm on X Brian Fenimore you can go to those and check us out and we'd be glad to connect with you at some level well Brian it's been a pleasure talking to you thank you so much for joining us today. >> Thank you for letting me come on.

Oh, a great welcome to you. I am so grateful for you. I'm grateful that you love God. In fact, you not only love Him, you are hungering for more and more of what God has for you. God would like to use today to teach you more about His love for you and His plan for your life. May your heart be humble and ready to learn. And I want you to know that you didn't love God first. Huh-uh. Nope. God loved you first. And we love because of His love poured out upon us. That's 1 John 419. We love Him because He first loved us. Isn't that beautiful? So you're not the instigator of all this. God, your father, your Heavenly Father is. Oh, you are blessed to dispense for in Him you live and move and have your being. And I want to tell you that this week has been absolutely a joy for me because Kimberly has been in the studio with me all week long. And I didn't expect that. Isn't that a marvelous surprise? It is. I think I kind of had that expectation. I like being here, especially. Okay, so selfishly in the summertime. It's really nice to be in Colorado rather than Oklahoma. Matthew was telling me that at 10 o'clock last night, he walked outside and it was still 102 degree heat index. That is so warm at 10 o'clock at night. Yes. And your humidity is way high there. So it's a little uncomfortable. We get through that season and then we have a glorious fall and winter. Yes, it is. But we have to kind of endure about eight to nine weeks of this kind of heat in the summertime. So it is always nice when I get to stay a little extra in the summertime. Yes. And I'm glad that I'm still here. And it's not even a worry or a concern to me or to Matthew about the van not performing, you know, up to its standards and having it in shops and trying to find the right people to fix it. Yeah, it's not even a concern. So we're just glad to be here. I'm glad I'm here. But you didn't have to go, you know, and look up different places because Matthew and his friend Nate had given you two really good places here for your Honda van. Well, yeah, because my husband is a BG rep. Yes. And that is an additive for automobiles. He has a lot of contacts. Yes, he does. I am grateful for that. Very, very great. Yeah. In fact, when you went into the pro body shop, the pro auto body shop today on Dalian, that's for any of you that ever have some car issues because it looks really nice. And you walked into the place and you saw some of the features of BG products. In fact, all over a little rain drop is a little oil drop. An oil drop is one of their symbols. And so why did you say to the people where they all turned their heads and looked at you? Oh, I just said, wow, you guys have their BG menus up. And there's a BG oil drop sitting right there on your desk and they all turned because most people don't know what BG is, let alone a woman walks in and starts talking about it. But when you're married to a rep, you kind of have that on your mind. And with automobiles, we expect our cars to run well for us. There's a blueprint that those cars were made by and we expect them to run well for us. And you get a few miles on them and they start wearing out. And that's just one of those laws, one of those scientific laws that the older something is, it wears out in this life. And I was waiting for you today at seven o'clock this morning and while you went in to get your van to take it to pro body. And there are a lot of cars that came in there. They aren't, you know, guaranteed to drive really well and all the time. They don't last forever. They need maintenance. They need repairs at times. And so we need that too. We need maintenance. We need maintenance and we need repairs. And our best maintainer is our Lord and His Word. And that is the maintenance that we have every day is getting in the Word of God. His Word is so precious to me and it's so refreshing. And when we talk about being made in His image, that's, you know, He has blueprints and we're supposed to run a certain way. We're supposed to actually be sound and to have peace and have joy and to have rest in our lives. And if you're not experiencing that real joy that really is meaningful, that fills you up, that kind of joy that overflows, that kind of joy that you can't even put words on. No matter what the circumstance, that's right. If you haven't felt that, well, then you might need a little maintenance checkup, you know, and maybe you need the mechanic with the capital M to get in there and to repair some things that need to be repaired in your heart and your mind. Because we want to have that joy and that peace in this life. And it's very possible. And it really is available to us. Even in times when our bodies don't operate, maybe like our brothers and sisters, as we were watching the chosen, and I had to kind of focus in on little James. Because he walked with the limp all his life. And here Jesus was healing all kinds of people and little James had that limp. It reminds me kind of of who is the prophet. I can't think of him right now. Well, it's good to remember that this is their take to the chosen is choosing to portray little James as someone who has pain and who walks with the limp, even though he was a disciple of Jesus. And they're portraying it that way, not because they read it out of the Bible. They're portraying it that way so that we, the viewers, would actually hook into a greater plan. And they present a greater plan through Jesus and through what God is doing. They present that in this show. I'm really thankful for that because then it does cause us to go ahead and say, well, if there are those that live in pain and you, you are a God who heals and restores and relieves, then how do you want to use this pain? What do you want to do with this to bring the ultimate joy that I can't even put words on to bring the ultimate peace that I'm so settled and I'm so okay. And having you noticed in years past in our younger years, when we've had pain, physical pain, that we can be in worry and anxiety about that and it can cause even more pain. And it can also make us feel like we are limiting our life because of some kind of infirmity that we have that we're limited, that we're limited. And we aren't necessarily limited. No, no. And I do believe that our Lord allows some of that pain and suffering for a season to help us become unlimited in our thinking and in our prayers. And the slate today, right before the one-on-clock show, when I gave this slate, I said, the suffering won't last forever. It won't be long before our generous God will have you put together and on your feet for good. That's right. That's right. And we want to believe that even in the midst of the unrest and the worry and the anxiety. And what we have found when we have grown and we've gone through a few seasons of suffering and a few seasons of some pain, we can then enter a season that we might be feeling that again, feeling some suffering, some loss, some pain, but be much more at peace. And the pain is not nearly as great. It doesn't become our focus. That's right. And we have help in it. We have help in that time of trouble. That help brings us a peace that is so much greater and a joy that is so firm. We can really hold on to that joy. I heard somebody say that the Father and the Son, our Heavenly Father and His Son, have completed their work. And they both sat down. So when our Father completed His work and sat down to rest, Jesus completed His work and sat down at the right hand of the Father, they invited us to enter their rest. That's right. And we did. And that is not what we all do. We don't always enter their rest when we're in full of worry or doubt or anxiety or fear, then we're not focusing on their rest. What we want to do is be able to focus on the rest that they have for us, that they've completed what needs to be accomplished in our lives. And when we come into agreement with that, that's how we come to that understanding like we were talking about in Isaiah yesterday, Isaiah 1. Come let us reason together. Let us come to an understanding together. When we agree with Him, with our Creator, with our Father, then we have that understanding. And in that understanding, we can enter His rest. Yes. If we don't have that understanding, we can remain in anxiety. We can remain in fear. And that's not what they're inviting us to. They're inviting us to overcome that with them. I believe in our imaginations, and He gave us our imaginations, that when Ephesians 2 says that we are seated in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus. When we see ourselves doing that, we can endure almost anything knowing that we are seated at the right hand of God, the Father, with our Lord Jesus. Yeah, you're really talking about that there's two of us, right? There's the one that's here in this realm. That's right. This one that sees you, I see you across from me right now, and we're having this conversation. That part of me can have feelings and senses that go against the part of me that's seated with Him in heavenly places. And so I'm just talking about bringing this one that's in this realm into agreement with the one that's already seated with Him in heavenly places. Yes, they've given us that place right next to them in rest, in peace, in joy, and we just want to be able to come into agreement with that. Okay, some of you listening might think we're just talking like we're out of our minds. Like this is just crazy. There's two of us. There is. There's the physical part of us, and there's the spirit being that knows there's more than all of this. Yes. We're made for so much more than all of this that we're looking at right now. And we want to keep that in our hold it in our hearts. And remember, we're made in his image for good things, for good things. Yesterday, when we were talking about trying to find the right way in life or trying to find the right team to stay with, you're just trying to find the right. And I'm using the word right because that can kind of be a clue for us. When we're looking for something that's right, we might have another agenda on our mind. When we're looking for the Father's heart, and we really just want to be in his image, in his will, here to do the will of our Father. If that's all we really want, then that's when the true joy and the true peace comes. If we're looking for what is right, and we're pairing it up against what's wrong, and we're trying to stay away from the wrong, and we want to stay on the right, we can fall really easily into religion. Yes. And Jesus stands so strong against religion. You were reading about that. Yeah, just read Matthew 22 and 23 when he's talking to the Pharisees. It's not the love that we see from Jesus most of the time, saying to his sheep, "Come unto me, all you who are weary and heavy laden, and I will give you rest." He comes right out and he says, "You have denied me, and I am going to tell you." In 23, he gives seven woes, W-O-E-S, to the Pharisees, the Sadgeses, and the Council. It's just over and over. And what he's doing is he's confronting these ideas that are based on right and wrong. They're based on the law, and they're not based on seeing someone's heart. They're not based on seeing the Father's heart. And our Creator, our Father, is our Creator. He wants us to be like Him. He is full of compassion and mercy. Matthew 5, 45, Jesus tells us, "So that you may be children of your Father in heaven." He's talking to us and he wants us to be like our Father in heaven, his children, act like his children. He, the Father, makes his Son rise on the evil and the good, and he sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. He sends it on everyone. So every time that Jesus teaches us, when we've had somebody harm us and do something evil against us, don't repay evil for evil. Don't try to get them back. Act like your Father. Bless them. Bless those who curse you. And when you choose to do that and let it go, let your Heavenly Father take care of the rest of it, you can start seeing all the blessings coming back towards you. We so blessing and we reap blessing. We're not doing it just to reap blessing. We're doing it to be like Him. Yes. That's His, His heart's desire. And His dream, oh, you know, I heard somebody say that Jesus has not received His full inheritance yet. Because this, we're still all in the making. We're still all being molded. So Jesus has not received His full inheritance. And here we are wanting things to be a certain way on this planet. We want a healing or we want a certain level of power. We want a certain job, a certain degree and letters behind our name or healthy bodies. Strong healing. You know, we want all these things. They're not bad things. It's okay to want those things. But our very first and keeping first things first is to want the will of the Father, to want Him to have His inheritance, to want Him to have His dream come true. Before mine. Before mine. Because honestly, He dreams bigger than we dream. You know Isaiah 55 that says, "My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are my ways, your ways for as high as the heavens are above the earth, so are my ways, above your ways." You can put the word dreams in there. You know, as high as the heavens are above the earth, so are my dreams, above your dreams. So any dream that we have, when we try to put it above His, it really doesn't get us anywhere in this life. It's like craving a mud puddle over the ocean. You know, you don't want to go scuba diving in a mud puddle. You're not going to see anything in that. You want to scuba dive in the ocean so you can see the beauty around you. You know, so we don't want to be clinging to our mud puddle of a dream when He has a whole ocean of dreams for us. Praise the Lord. There's a little verse here in 1 Peter, 4 verse 12, "Friends, when life gets really difficult, don't jump to the conclusion that God isn't on the job. Instead, be glad that you are in the very thick of what Christ experienced. This is a spiritual refining process, and that's what you're talking about, Kimberly. You're talking about our lives here on earth are a process. With glory just around the corner, if you're abused because of Christ, count yourself fortunate. It's the Spirit of God and His glory in you that brought you to the notice of others. And if they're on you because you broke the law or disturbed the peace, that's a different matter. But if it's because you're a Christian, don't give it a second thought. Be proud of the distinguished status reflected in that name. It's judgment time for Christians. We're first in line. I mean, judgment does start in the household of God. It says in Peter, "So if good people barely make it, what's in store for the bad?" We've got to think about that. Even if that man is abusing me, I need to pray the kind of prayer that is going to get him out of that horrible perspective that he has about life, that he can be angry, that he can throw rocks. Praying people through and speaking good things over them. Isaiah 5, verse 7, "This is a section of the Bible that's describing a vineyard that God gave a lot of care to and the master attended this vineyard and gave it everything that it could possibly need. And when he went to look for the fruit instead of producing good grapes, it brought sour grapes. He's talking about us. And in Isaiah 5, 7, it says he looked for justice, but there was only murdering of others. He hoped for fairness, but there were only cries from people that were being treated badly. In the good news translation, it says, "He expected them to do what was good, but instead they committed murder. He expected them to do what was right, but their victims cried out for justice." When we are made in the image of God, we start looking at how much mercy he shows us. He really does show us so much mercy. And he wants us to look like him. You know, if you've ever chosen a pet and you want to bring that pet, welcome that pet into your home. Your hope is that that pet will be friendly, that it will let you pet it and be a friend to it, and that it will sit with you. And it will obey cat. It will be on your lap and you can pet it. You know, you're not hoping to bring a cat in and have them destroy your furniture and your drapes with their claws, you know, swiping at your family members and at your guests that come into your home. That's not what you hope for with a cat. You don't hope that they're going to vomit up on your decorative rugs. That's not what you're hoping for. They're not behaving the way you hoped. Oh my goodness, how much more our father who created us wants us to behave in a manner that is a blessing to him and a blessing to all who come around us. That's right. That's what he's longing for. So, you know, if your cat is causing problems in your home, there are consequences to that. You're either going to drug the cat or you're going to take it and have its claws removed, you know, decline cats is a pretty common thing now. But that's a consequence of a cat using its claws. It's, oh no, we're not going to have that. There are consequences when we act outside of what we were made for. And you know, while I'm talking about pets, if you do have a pet that's having a really hard time right now and you, you might be frustrated with your pet, just start speaking to it. You know, Romans 8, I believe it's verse 22 talks about how the universe is in agony and all creation groans and longs to see the unveiling and revealing of the sons and daughters of God. And what I understand there is that when we are behaving like our father, as sons and daughters of God, and we're revealed as that, whereas we're unveiled and all the masks are coming off of us and the anger comes off of us and the frustration comes off of us and the lust and the greed comes off of us. And we're truly revealed and unveiled to be his sons and daughters, then we can speak good things over creation. Creation is longing for the unveiling and the revealing of the sons and daughters of God. And just like with my birds years ago when I started speaking to those birds, welcoming songbirds back into our area, our sanctuary, it was quiet for many years. And I started welcoming them back and they started coming back. But with them came the predators and the hawks came in and I started speaking to those hawks. This is not your territory. You know, when you have thoughts and maybe even pets that are irritating and frustrating, you tell them this is not how we function. This is not how God made our earth. That's right. He made us in peace, He made us in joy and we get to rest in those things and start speaking those things over your pet, over yourself, over your thoughts, over your family members. I remember when you had Katie and she was beautiful, absolutely long hair beautiful, long hair cat. Yes, long hair cat. And what you do is you just lift that little brush up and she comes alongside and just she brushes herself. Do you remember that? You know, having Katie and talking to her and just giving her a whole lot of love speaking over her, it created an environment that felt like heaven. And instead of holding her down to brush her, I would just hold the brush up. That's right. I would just hold it up in the air and she would walk by and go back and forth, back and forth on that brush and she'd end up brushing herself. That's right. She did. She always hold the brush. That's the kind of pet you want. Yeah, you want something that's loving. Yes, loving time. And you just want that kind of a heavenly environment around you, you know, and being able to bring that from your imagination, you know, you were saying earlier, we can imagine sitting in the heavenly places with our creator, with our father. Well, bringing that kind of an environment here, we can imagine it and the way that it comes about is not through tough. I know love sometimes has to be a tough love. I understand that. But what I'm talking about is not through the chastising and the constant holding on to these rules and laws that hurt people's hearts. Sometimes when we hang on to absolute law, it does more harm than good. That's right. Or being able, even at a restaurant, being able to, if they, if they kind of botch up your order, you can say, I'm sorry, I'm going, I'm going to try this. I'm going to try to eat what you brought me instead of, oh, this is not what I ordered. Send it back. I don't want this. Yes. And you hear that from people. So I had somebody mess up my order. I ordered a Greek salad with hummus. And you know, it has kind of a vinaigret dressing on it usually. They, they messed up. Whoever was in the kitchen didn't grab the vinaigret. They grabbed the poppy seed dressing, which is really sweet. Oh, yeah. I got all over my salad. And I got my salad. And I was expecting a real earthy and kind of a, I don't know what kind of a, not, not sour, but, but I wasn't expecting sweet. Let's say it that way. I wore like a vinegar acidic. Yes, acidic. Thank you. I was not expecting sweet. And you know that sweet flavor with the real earthy flavors of the hummus and the pickled tomatoes and other things that I had on the table. Tomatoes and other things that I had on there. It was so good. I went back to the kitchen and I said, I just want you to know someone messed up and put the wrong dressing on my salad. And it was the best mistake I have ever had. And I'm going to order my salad this way from now on. And I have ever since every time I go to that restaurant, that's how I order it. And they just smiled. You know, bringing joy to others in the midst of this broken life is so important. We want to keep spreading joy and spreading love. So concentrate on being made in the image of your God. He's merciful and compassionate, full of love and full of joy. And that's what we love to say to you at the end of every program. Instead of taking care and anxiety and fear in your life. Take joy. Thank you for listening to Call to Freedom with Barbara Carmack. You may get in touch with Barbara at Call to Freedom. Box 370-367. Welcome to Call to Freedom. I still get so thrilled when I see the miracle of changing at 1-866 to 1-877 and how Matt our producer that God bless him now that is retired. He just stuck that 7-7, took the 6-6 out, stuck the 7-7 in there. Edit really that is such a miracle. And I was just, because we could have asked Jimmy to come back. I know he's so busy, Jimmy Lanky, but without him being in the studio, Matt just edited. Finding the number 917-7256. Oh, yes. That's the 91st Psalm. It spells Psalm. That's the 91st Psalm. That was one of Darren's. Yes, Darren thing. But just getting all that changed last September a year ago now. Oh my goodness, you were here, I think the whole month, helping me get all these things bundled together. Because I had just spent too much money on individual carriers. So it was so good. Today I'm telling you to pray that you are strong in the Lord. And I'm praying for you and with you and Kimberly is also praying that you are strong in the Lord and the power of his might today. And leaving every detail to him, every detail my friend. Because when you put some of that on yourself, the burden gets too heavy. And you weren't created for that. I want you to know that God wants to bless you, be on measure, be on anything you could ask or think. And you are blessed to this pence to just give that seed into the kingdom of God. And he will multiply it for you 30, 60 and 100 fold according to Matthew 13 verse 23. So I hope today in this whole week is a wonderful week of progress in the Lord and also seeing that your needs are met. And besides your needs more and more and more abundance. Yes, we pray that in the Holy Spirit. Amen. Our memory verse for this week, we're going to interject kind of a memory verse because it's a good review. And it's in my word power for every hour. Bible guide and it's a Psalm written by ASAP, a soft who is a student of David. Who was a student of David and now he is the leader, the music leader. And he says here in Psalm 73 verse 25 and 26, "I am heaven but you and besides you I desire nothing on earth. My flesh and my heart may fail, but you're the strength of my heart and my portion forever." That's what we need to say. And especially if you've had some heart conditions, you can say that verse every day. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God, you're the strength of my heart. You're the one that keeps my heart pumping all those hundreds of thousands of beats every day, Kimberly. And gallons and gallons of the lifeblood going through. Yes. Because if our heart doesn't work, it just builds up that water, builds up in your legs and your knees are just bloated with water and also your legs. I did not know that it was also the water pump for the body, the heart. I did. And it is. So we praise you God for for being out there with every listener and strengthening their heart, making it strong in you Lord God, and also keeping it pumping and keep it pumping strong. Just think when you're asleep, your heart's pumping. It's like my refrigerator, my 25 year old refrigerator, I call him fridgey. And he say, "Blood God bless you, fridgey with more and more electrical guidance from God." And it just keeps going. Our refrigerators are on all the time. Yes, Kimberly. And you have wilderness appliances. They just keep working for you. I'm going. I love it. And if you want to read the Passion in our reading today, Psalm 73, 25 through 26, "Sher, whom have I in heaven but you? You are all I want. No one on earth means as much to me as you Lord. So many times I fail. I fall into disgrace. But when I trust in you, I have a strong and glorious presence protecting and anointing me." Yes. For ever you're all I need. And I do want to introduce Kimberly. She's been with me for so long now that you probably think she's a permanent fixture on the program. But one of these days she's going to go home and we're going to maybe see her on Wednesdays, but not like this. It's been just a glorious time. Before we get into the reading today, which is in Matthew in the message, Kimberly, you read some of this from the message the other day. And I said, "Oh, we've got to have that for the radio program and we're going to read about that. I want to make you aware and encourage you and set your sights on God. I know a lot of times we just have our personal life right up in our faces and we think and look to our personal situation more than anything out there." And this week you probably have heard there's a convention going on in Chicago and it's the Democrats. And this week they're going to give out free vasectomies and free abortions. They've got their mobile clinics right there waiting for people that need that service. So if they need it, they want it for whatever reason. Yes. Well, they think they need it. They go for that. And this week I was encouraged when I heard that. Encouraged to go to Isaiah 45. And this is such a precious scripture. Darren is the one that got me onto this. And then he went right into Isaiah 54-17, which most of you know that the weapon formed against me shall not prosper and every time that comes against me. I condemn. That's Isaiah 54-17. But in Isaiah 45 and this scripture and what Darren added to this scripture and we have the authority given us by God to say this in the way that Darren did because he overcame so many court appearances. People were suing him left and right when he was on the coffee shop in the coffee shop and God bless him. He didn't lose one. He didn't lose one court appearance when he said this phrase that I judge their words in righteousness. Remember that as I read this scripture now from Isaiah 45, we're going to go to the 22nd verse of Isaiah 45. And this is in the Passion. So turn your heart to me. Face me now says God and be saved wherever you are, even from the ends of the earth for I alone am God. And there is no other. I make this solemn oath to you in my own name. My words sent from my mouth in righteousness will not return unfulfilled. Remember that. God's words in righteousness will not return unfulfilled. Truly every knee will bow before me and every tongue will solemnly swear allegiance to me. All will say to me yes only in Yahweh do I find righteousness and strength. And you can also add that word justice righteousness justice and strength and all who are were angry with me will come before me and regret it in Yahweh all of Israel's offspring will triumph and shine. So Darren added to this beautiful passage from and he was in the new American standard at the time that I will judge the word their words the words of wickedness in righteousness. This week I encourage you to set your sights on God who is not only our righteousness but a God of justice because he is a God of justice. We as his people can judge this wickedness and we see it right in our faces. Judge this wickedness in his righteousness as you go about this week in your activities. May you find a few seconds to say father thank you for this agreement of judging wickedness in your righteousness. You have given me Jesus authority in the kingdom of God and we judge their words and actions in righteousness. That's what I want you to think and that's and meditate on and judge say father God I thank you that we judge their words and actions in your righteousness in Jesus name. And not the people so necessarily as the wickedness they've gotten into they've been caught in it and I was saying to you early Kimberly I think some of these Democrats that are coming to this convention really believe that they're born again and saved and they're walking past these mobile clinics that are giving out abortions and I hope that some of them realizes they sit in that defilement. That God will reach their hearts and open up their hearts. Yes we pray that their hearts will break for the things that break God's heart. Amen. That's right. You know in Zefania 317 it says that the Lord your God is with you. He is mighty to save and in Isaiah 9 when it talks about Jesus being that that seed that comes the child that is born and they name him mighty God everlasting father Prince of peace mighty God also has a word in the Hebrew that is correlated to grace. So he is a mighty God that is ruling with grace. And we just need to understand that you know we we want our hearts to break for the things that break his heart and we want grace in the way that we pray that's what he does he prays over us and intercedes over us Jesus does that for us every day from the right hand of the father. So Zefania 317 the Lord your God is with you. He is mighty to save you in his grace. He is mighty. He will take great delight in you. He will quiet you with his love. He will rejoice over you with singing. And so we just speak that quieting quieting those voices that are screaming out for some other kind of justice that it's not God's justice. It's not in righteousness or purity that we just speak his quietness over that that he will quiet with his love. He will rejoice over you with singing and we can rejoice we can go out in worship and fight the battles with our worship. That's how we do it. We thank the Lord and we exalt him and we make him our main focus and the battle is one. Amen. It's so wonderful to know that the authority that God gave Jesus he's given to us. Now what do we do with that authority? We don't go out there with a sword and a gun and gun them down. No. In wickedness we judge their words in righteousness and we rejoice in him worship him and know that he is going to bring everything together for our good. He's already got the best and he wants that for us. I was praying over that. I just realized you know it years of cravings and lusts and addictions just fall away when we are quieted in his love. Amen. So when the other day when you were reading Matthew 5 in the message that oh we've got to talk about this because it's it relates to all of us in the message and I hope you have a message with you as you're listening. It says your blessed when you're at the end of your rope with less of you there's more of God in his rule. Yes that's what we want when we have more of him we have more of his love that will quiet us quiet those those cravings quiet the addiction quiet the old habit. The old mindsets the thoughts that cause us to be really down on ourselves and on others he quiet all of that that's right when there's less of us there's more of him and his rule in us I wore my I no longer live t shirt today. Yes because I like to remember as we continue to look to him and let him quiet us in his love we no longer live it is him it is Christ who lives in us. I can't even imagine what you went through five years ago when you were at the end of your rope chemically. And instead of getting all defensive and justifying yourself on everything that they were talking I think that they had you in kind of a circle and they were just bombarding you with all kinds of who you are in your character traits and all the things that were wrong with you and with less see Kimberly realized friends that she had to submit to God first. And in submitting to God she was yielding herself to Holy Spirit and what he had for her and yielding to the situation at hand it's what Jesus did he yielded to what was coming down the pike for him and we are called to be like that to yield and submit in the moment and watch God do his work we don't fight. The same way the world fights so probably I can see you sitting there as in your beautiful presence there and taking all this and I'm sure that Holy Spirit was had a shield up so you couldn't really feel all the darts coming at you and this basically the words are from the enemy but these were her love this was her family this was her husband and her children dear to me that's right yes and so I can't say that I was shielded boy. That was painful I that really hurt and and I did feel very torn apart I felt like my heart had been ripped to shreds yes and it it was you know we go through things that really hurt in this life and when we trust the Lord he went through it first he he has suffered more than any of us ever will he took that for us when we trust that he's forming us to be like him and that he is allowing us to feel some of this heartache because then that connects us more with him we are able to embrace who he is and engage with him and fellowship with him really walk with him more closely and hear his voice because of this suffering well and what I saw and what I envisioned after you told me this was that my daughter had been with me all through that month because I was having a pain like I've never had in my hip and she wanted to help me as much as she could at my home here in Denver so that month for at least for three weeks you had been there doing a good Samaritan deed for me every day because I could hardly I could hardly walk by then and then of course we went I went to Tulsa for surgery then in March the next March that's 2020 so that's when the lockdown began all of these things come together and without God it's like when you've come to the end of your rope so she goes home thinking I've done a good deed for my mother and then she slammed dunked into this situation I'm sure you had a sleepless night at night I had more than once last night sure I had many weeks of sleepless nights yes and it was very confusing but but God but see that's what it says here with less of you there is more of God we got it friend if you're listening today and you're at the end of your rope you've got to understand that it's God it's God but God and we and we do we humble ourselves in that moment and everything that I was being accused of it didn't really ring true with my spirit but I said okay I'll go be tested for all these things that you think that I might accusing you of yeah and and I and I did and and I'm thankful I'm thankful that I walked that path that I humbled myself and just went and was tested and confirmed no it was not schizophrenic but not bipolar you're not all yeah they don't have a personality disorder and it was it was good to frame that in my mind you know it is the Lord who will bring us to the road bring us to the right places and the right people to cause us to be solidified with him make him our rock he what he says about us is more true than even what our most dearest family members say that's right and the next verse the next verse Kimberly in Matthew 5 says what your blessed when you feel you've lost what is most dear to you only then can you be embraced by the one who truly is most dear to you oh what a verse and I'm so thankful that I felt like I lost that which was most dear to me yes and I wasn't holding on so tightly that I had to have that back I had to have my family back had to have my children back had I just wanted him I just wanted more of him and his rule in my life yes and then the final thing was when you were not only accused but told you need to get out of the house you need to get out of the house that was that was also a time that was confusing for me because I'm not I'm not just going to go in and fight that there was a time in my life when I would have really fought for something like that but I have learned in my walk with the Lord not to defend myself and so as I was walking through that I was expecting that I would have to just move out and find another place and I had other friends and you telling me Kimberly that is your house that is your home you have touched every part of that house with your own hands from the paint to everything to the roof the ceilings to the floor every square inch and I wasn't so convinced because you know when you when it's five against one well that's what it felt like you know that they they just were sure that I needed to move out that I you know I I was thinking well Lord maybe this is you I submit to this situation I submit and I surrender to this and yet he led me to just go one time and very calmly present to Matthew you know I'm not the one that wants this divorce you're the one that wants the divorce so why do I have to leave the house if I'm not the one that wants it if I want to stay and believe that God can heal this you know and that was all I had to say calmly like that for him to say make up his mind and say well then it's me I'm moving out and so I did I got to stay in this and it's a beautiful home I'm really thankful that I I was allowed to remain and that was the Lord's doing marvelous in my eyes marvelous and he's changed the hearts of everyone of those members of your family and I'm so grateful for that we're all changed all right yes yes besides us also it's kind of like God has this wonderful love for us it's like the waves of the ocean that keep coming in and coming in and covering us over and over again so we want you to listen to Corey Asbury [Music] for I spoke or you were singing over me you have been so so good to me for I took a breath you breathe your life in me you have been so so kind to me oh me you have well me never in in reckless love God oh it chases me down fights still I'm found here the night and night I could have earned and I don't deserve it still you give yourself away oh the over will be never in the reckless love of God yeah [Music] [Music] for I took a breath you breathe your life in me you have been so so kind to me for I took a breath you breathe your life in 5 tomorrow it's going to be a good such a good lesson it's we only got through two verses here today but we need to remember his love for us Kimberly like Zeppaniah 317 yes that he loves to rejoice over us and he gets over us we are the center of his love that's the focus of his love and it it should be a good and easy thing for us to focus on him as our greatest love too that's right take joy Carrie Wilkerson was over $100,000 in debt and 145 pounds overweight. Admittedly, she had been inattentive to details in her business and with her health, and unfortunately, both had become out of control. On today's edition of Family Talk, Dr. James Dobson talks with Carrie, author of The Barefoot Executive, about how she paid off every dime within two years by working at home, and dropped down to a healthy weight by practicing discipline. You can experience Carrie’s success too by learning how to live free from bonds that can enslave you.

Today, Pastor Jack teaches that body building within the church is to first strengthen our own personal faith, focus, and effectiveness, and to use our spiritual gifts to benefit others.
