SPEAKER 01 :
Now, I want to tell you today, as I did yesterday, that I have a mission, and I would like to ask you, those of you especially who have known me so long in this radio broadcast, 27 years, to fulfill a mission to tell whoever can listen and whoever will be in reach of the book that I have completed on the truth that God is going to redeem the whole human race. You’ve heard me that I have been writing this book. I’ve said it a long time, and some of you will have lost patience, I think, because I’m so slow at writing, and I’ve been years at it. But it’s a culmination of years of research, of years of study of Scripture, of years of learning the gospel and what it means, and also its meaning, the gospel’s meaning in relation to the judgment that God speaks of and brought upon the world. So this book will answer many questions. It will answer, what about hell? It will answer, is there a hell? It will answer, what do the judgments mean in the light of the fact that Jesus took the judgment for mankind? What does it mean that as in Adam all die, so in Christ also shall all live? How do we square God’s punishments and God’s judgments with the gospel? What does it mean that God will have mercy on all? What can we expect, what can we hope of our God when the truth is that we have all gone through terrible torment, terrible difficulties, terrible temptations and failures, terrible addictions, and a lot of unfairness from abuse? How does all this work in the scheme of things? Does God have favorites? Does God determine that he will save some and damn others? Is it fair that some have more advantage than others do? All these questions are answered or addressed in this book that I have written. It’s a 450-page book. That is the manuscript number of pages. I don’t know how many that works out in print page, but possibly 250 to 300 pages. And I believe that it will feed your souls. for a long, long time, and it will be a marvelously satisfying search as you explore this book like a detective yourself because it’s a theological detective work, but it’s simply written. It doesn’t have lots of footnotes and all kinds of academic terminology. It’s written for the Christian layman, and yet I’m sure that it will have an effect upon the academia and Professors in College. The book’s going, the book, the working title is Every Lust Sheep. I’m sorry, I’m getting confused for a minute. Yes, Every Lust Sheep and Goat. Now, the book is not only written, but it has been accepted by a publisher. The publisher is Wipf & Stock, and I chose this publisher because they have already accepted several other books on this subject, so I know that though it is a Christian publisher, it will not object to the idea of a book on the subject of the salvation of all humanity. Let me tell you a little bit about this publishing company. It’s one of the fastest growing trade and academic publishing houses in the United States. It’s dedicated to publishing excellence and has superior publisher and author relations. It was established in 1995. They noticed that there was a change in the academic book business. What was that change? Well, the price of academic books was increasing all the while, and yet the rate that they were going out of print was rapid. And they were concerned about that. What happens to all these marvelous books that should be in print, but there isn’t enough demand for it, and so publishers let the books drop out of existence? Well, they answered that dilemma. And this publishing company prints out-of-print academic and scholarly books that are so precious to the Christian church, to theology, to Bible students, and so they keep them in existence for the purpose of those people. Now, this fulfills the request of professors and textbook managers and people who want out-of-print books for classroom use. And so WIPF and SCADOC now have published 15,000 titles. They have 15,000 titles in their inventory. And what’s more, they are now publishing—well, not now, but for years now, they’ve been publishing new book titles— And so now they have 900 new publications every year. Well, they’ve accepted my publication. But there’s a catch, of course, because this publishing house, as I have told you, publishes books that are merit-based rather than projected sales. Most publishers publish books only on the projected sales of that book. Will it sell? If it will sell, they’ll publish. But as a result, there are many precious books that are lost to the This Whipf & Stock Publishers publishes on merit, not on projected sales. But at the same time, it wants to ensure that my book and other books like mine will always be in print and available to order on a two- or three-day notice. Now, all of this involves a little bit more, though, from the publisher, from the writer, the author, me, in other words. In other words, I have to pay for editing of the book, which is $7.50 per page. Now, you can imagine what that will be for 450 pages, and $2.50 per page for typesetting. And then there’s the cost of marketing afterwards. They market for me, that is Wipf and Stock do, but they also expect the author to do marketing and that costs. So we’re looking at several thousand dollars, about five to eight thousand dollars. I don’t have it. I’m not a man of means. I don’t have a savings account. And let me tell you, I’m not in this for making money. At my age, that’s not an issue. What is an issue is that I—how shall I say it? I swing the bat of the gospel one last good time before my time is up and I go to the kingdom of heaven. Maybe I’ll stay a lot longer than that because I do have another book in mind, but the point I’m telling you, the point I’m making, is that I need your help. If you believe or would like to believe that God is going to redeem his whole humanity, that Christ’s sacrifice is for the whole world, and if you want proof of that, then my book is going to give you that hope, give you that certainty, and give you that proof. It will also set your mind abuzz to study for the next many years. Now, I need that help, and so if you would like to support this mission project, this project of Every Last Sheep and Goat, then I would like to encourage you to make donations. If you would care to make a donation, you can send it. You should earmark it, book. or manuscript. And please, we have to keep the regular donations going in order to keep the radio broadcast and the ministry going. So these donations I’m requesting over and above that. And some of you may have savings that you have wondered where to put. This is a project that can be is well-deserved, I can assure you. By the way, once we get the funds in, then there’s the work of my making the manuscript. It’s already completed, the manuscript, but it has to be made print-ready, that is, ready for all of their printing policies, and so that’ll take a month or two, and then, of course, they take about six to nine months before the book is actually fully published. that is ready for distribution to the public. If you would like to make a donation, and I urge you to pray about this, if you believe in the salvation of all, or if you would like to research this wonderful subject, then send your donation to FaithQuest, P.O. Box 366, Littleton, Colorado, 80160. That’s FaithQuest.com. P.O. Box 366, Littleton, Colorado, 80160. Or you can make your donation online at faithquestradio.com. That’s faithquestradio.com and mark it, earmark it, book or manuscript. You know, it’s been a marvelous privilege at my age of 85 to write this book. I’ve spent several years at it, and I’ve delved into Scripture more than at any other time in my life, or maybe not more than at any other time, but at a deep rate, having maybe sloughed off a little bit over the years. And what I’m amazed at is that this book brought all kinds of avenues of study together in one place that I had been studying over decades of 60 years of being a Christian. One theme, of course, the greatest theme of all, is the book of Romans. God introduced me to the book of Romans decades ago, and I’ve been teaching it, as you know, ever since. And I could always feel that there were hints of something larger than only those who believe who will be saved. Well, of course, everyone who will be saved will believe there is no salvation outside of Jesus Christ, and it is by faith. But how that faith comes to people is a key idea in the salvation of all. Is faith something we produce and offer God? Or is faith something that God gives to us as part of the gift of salvation? The answer to that question leads to whether God will save all humanity or not. And are there two sides to God? whether he is merciful on one side and absolutely absent of mercy to a whole slew of humanity on the other side, the answer to that question will settle your heart and will increase your faith. So, if you would like to support this project and be part of the missionary project, then send your donation, and thanks so much. Well, thanks for listening.
