Welcome to Call to Freedom. Oh praise God for freedom and it’s a freedom the world does not know about. It’s a freedom in our Lord Jesus Christ. The freedom that we realize when he died on the cross and then Holy Spirit resurrected him and now he lives and reigns at the right hand of the Father. And he hears our prayers. The Lord does save his anointed and he answers us from his holy heaven with the saving power of his right hand. Now some trust in chariots and some in horses but we will boast in the name of the Lord our God. I’m so grateful for that and I hope you are too. I hope you’re glorifying him and praising him every day of your life here because this is the day that the Lord has made for you. The Lord doesn’t have any time in his day. No he doesn’t. He’s just living in a wonderful world of eternity but he has given us these days kind of, I guess, as a routine because we love routines. We love getting up in the morning doing the same thing, getting ready for work and then going out and doing things that we’ve got to do and then coming home at night, relaxing, having dinner and then maybe watching a little television or playing some games or whatever and then going to bed. That’s where he used to know. Don’t get me wrong. Some of you have a more variety of a lifestyle and I’m grateful. In Colorado here, people are having vacation all the time. I feel like I’ve been on a two week vacation with Kimberly here and praise the Lord. She’s been wonderful. She’s on her way now to Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and I will miss her but we had a really wonderful time texting today as she was traveling and she’s going to pick up 16 gallons of honey in Kansas. You know they said that the bees, the honey bees are dying. Don’t believe. Don’t believe what the world says. They’re not dying. This little company right in the middle of nowhere has honey coming from seven different counties. So, you know, your Bible says he does good for his people. We will prosper under his name. We’ve got to believe that friend. We really do and not believe the things of this world. Praise the Lord. You are blessed to dispense for in him you live and move and have your being and thank God that Darren said, “No, every day we’re going to come to the studio. We’re going to do live radio and I’m so grateful for that because I can keep up on the things that are going on and convey with you and then you text me and you email me and you tell me your opinions and the scripture that you’re standing on and it’s wonderful. For instance, I got an email from John in the grand junction that the Muslims are coming to Christ. This is a great article. When you think of Iran and religion, Christianity isn’t what comes to mind. The Middle Eastern nation isn’t just the biggest Shiite Muslim state in the world. It’s also one of the most draconian when it comes to enforcing the tenets of the religion. The country’s moral, moral police is again in the international spotlight. Are they reportedly shot a woman, yes to death? Last month for a violation of the country’s mandatory hijab laws and that’s the total covering. She wasn’t covering herself enough. Oh, can you imagine? Can you imagine going outside of your home and you’ve got to be totally covered except your eyes as a woman? I just heard the other day that when a woman dies, she does not go to heaven and she does not have the Muslim men have seven women or 70? Is it 70? I don’t know. Anyway, oh, what a horrible, horrible life. That’s why they’re turning to Jesus. Amid the severity of the country’s morality crack down is a ray of life for Christians. Iran may well be in the midst of what some commentators are calling a Jesus revolution. In a Tuesday article for faith-based outlet CBN News, writer Gary Lane described how an unprecedented number of Muslims are choosing to follow Christ, especially in Iran as people search for a better life. You have a country with one of the highest drug addiction rates in the world. You have a country where corruption runs rampant. You have a country where more than half the people live below the poverty line, said Todd Nettleton of the voice of the martyrs, a non-governmental organization focused around providing the support for persecuted Christians. The people of Iran are looking at this and they’re saying, wait a minute, if this is what Islam has brought us in the last 45 years, we’re not interested. We want to know what the other options are. Now, especially if they allow phones of any kind, they’re listening to social media all over the world and they’re realizing they are slaves. They are in bondage. They are imprisoned as a sort because they aren’t allowed many of the wonderful opportunities we have in America. So they’re saying, we want to know what the other options are. So friends, don’t think of standard operating procedure. God is doing a new thing on this earth. He really is. So let’s get out of our comfort zones in the U.S. and pray. And if need be fast. Yes, I’m telling you, yes, fast. That second Chronicle 714 says, if my people will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, that in essence means even fasting food. Yes, fasting. And I know that’s hard for America because we’ve got food on every street corner and it’s wonderful and it’s delicious and you can go from breakfast eating out to lunch eating out to dinner eating out if you have the money for it. So remember that. Remember the precious people in Iran. And we heard of many Iranians coming across the border, across the open border of the United States. And many of them, there may be a few that are wicked and evil and want to do evil to this country. But I believe the majority of them really just want a better life, a better life for themselves. So I pray for those that are. And this week we have Psalm 73 verse 25 and 26. We’re going to just focus on that. It’s a review because many of you already know it. I know my friend Mary was quoting it to me the other day and I appreciate it so much. Psalm 73 25 through 26. Whom have I in heaven but you? I desire you more than anything on earth. My health may fail and my spirit may grow weak but God you remain the strength of my heart and mine forever forever. He is your friend and from the message translation Psalm 73 verse 25 through 28. You’re all I want in heaven. You’re all I want on earth. Now it’s getting a little personal here. But verse 26 in the message says when my skin sags and my bones get brittle. God is rock firm and faithful. Look, those who left you are falling apart. Those who are wicked and have not stayed in the wonderful grace of our Lord Jesus. They’re falling apart. Deserters, they’ll never be heard from again. Oh, and it goes on to say in Psalm 37, I have seen wicked and ruthless people flourishing they seemingly flourish like a tree in its native soil. But when I look again, they’re gone. They’re gone. Though I searched for them, I could not find them. And verse 28 of Psalm 73 says I’m in the very presence of God. Oh, how refreshing it is. I’ve made Lord God my home. God I’m telling the world what you do and I hope you’re telling your world today what God is doing. I know when it comes to October. I have a big board here, not a board, but a poster. And I’m going to put Shalom on it right in my front yard. Shalom country. And I want even the Jewish community in my neighborhood, which there are many Jewish people in my neighborhood. I want them to know that when they come around my property, there’s peace there. The kind of peace that they may not even know about. But it’s Shalom. Shalom country. Praise the Lord. If God gives you an interesting idea like that, go for it. Go for that. It’s wonderful to tell your neighbors and your friends that you are a friend to them. And yeah, Kimberly is on her way back to Broken Arrow, her home. And it’s a real change of venue for me because God has blessed me with wonderful children. And I’m so grateful. She came like a whirlwind and cleaned up my yard with her hedge trimmer and her weed whacker, compliments of her generous husband, Matthew. I call him my son. He’s so thoughtful. Kimberly actually introduced me to a gluten free diet while she was here because I was beginning to feel aches and pains in my joints. You know, as we get older and our body has been working and operating for us all our life going through so many extremes. And so she explained how Matthew had been experiencing the same joint pains. And she’s been on a gluten free diet for several years. She said, Mom, why don’t you try it for 30 days? And so I did. I said, OK, I’ll take up the challenge. And that was a week and a half ago. And the pain in my knees and hands and ankles is gone. Wow. It’s just kind of amazing to me. And now I’m a believer. I’m not a doubter. I was a doubter. A little skeptical. And God is changing that in me too. And sometimes in this cynical world, we grow up being a little skeptical and questioning everything. And I’m asking God just to give me a gentle heart like Jesus. Oh, praise the Lord. Well Psalm 85 verse 6 tells us, Revive us again, oh God, I know you will give us a fresh start. Then all your people will taste your joy and gladness, pour out even more of your love on us, reveal more of your kindness and restore us back to you, restore us back to you. If we’ve gone astray, if we’ve even wandered a little bit on a detour road, and we think that’s the right way, oh, Father, bring us back. And verse 12 of Psalm 85 says, Yes, you keep raining down blessing after blessing. And prosperity will drench our land with a bountiful harvest. Are you thinking harvest today? I hope you are. I hope you are thinking of how God loves you so much. And that’s first John 419. We didn’t love him first. He loved us first. And he gave himself for us. So I want you to know he’s there for you and he’s willing to rain down blessing upon blessing. If you’re going in a direction that is a direction that receives blessing, some people, they are so negative, they cannot receive a blessing from God. They have so much doubt and fear, they cannot receive a blessing from God. He wants to rain down a blessing on you. And we’ve got to get rid of the doubt, fear and unbelief. That is the trio of absolute sin in our life. If we continue to live in doubt and fear and unbelief. Wow, those are killers. That’s a trio of killers of faith. So I want you to know you are in the hands of God today. I want to go back yesterday, Kimberly and I were talking about the attitudes. When Jesus sat on the mount and called the people, the people I think were wandering around at the base of the mount and Kimberly and I were talking about that. And his disciples followed him up the mountain and they sat down as he was talking. Now I want to actually begin from the very beginning, verse 3, Matthew 5 verse 3 from the message. “You are blessed when you are at the end of your rope. With less of you there is more of God in his rule. You are blessed when you feel you have lost what is most dear to you. Only then can you be embraced by the one most dear to you.” This is Jesus speaking. And Kimberly told you of her trial yesterday and coming out on the other side has been a blessing to behold for a mother. I know that some of you listening have been mothers and you have desired so much the very best for your children. They seem to go in an opposite direction of how you are praying. But just hold on. Hold on. God is at work in them and he is at work in you to kind of let go. Let go of trying to manipulate and control. Boy, that is a hard one for us mothers. But it is so important and it is wonderful that God has both moved in Kimberly’s life and Matthew’s life and her four children. They are talking more and having more fun together now than ever before. I am so grateful. I am so grateful. Praise you, Lord. Praise you, Lord. And so verse 5 of Matthew 5 says, “And remember this is Jesus. You are blessed when you are content with just who you are. No more, no less, no comparisons here friend. That is the moment you find yourselves proud owners of everything that can’t be bought. I have, I am living in a home that could not be bought naturally. I am living a life that could not be bought naturally. It is only by the grace and the strength of God and the power of God that I am living, where I am living. I am living in a home. I am living in that was impossible years ago until God brought wonderful miracle in my life, the greatest miracle, physical miracle I have ever seen of bringing gas into absolutely rust-filled cavernous resources in a ground in Wyoming that was almost useless. And I am just so grateful to God for seeing that wonderful miracle. Verse 6 of Matthew 5 says, “You are blessed when you have worked up a good appetite for God. He is food and drink. In the best meal you will ever eat.” Yes, he is your food. He is your drink. You are blessed when you care at the moment of being careful. You find yourselves cared for. And that is another thing. God cares for you. When you cast all your care, and I am meaning all your care, I have held some back, and he says, “Cast all your care on me. All your worries, all your dreams, all your visions of how your life should go, cast them on God because He is the only one that can handle that. cast them on Him for He cares for you.” And I was thinking, “Now where is that scripture? Be careful for nothing. Careful for nothing.” And I found it in Philippians 4, 4 through 9, and you know this. He has got a forgiving spirit, my friend. And Philippians 4, 4 through 9, and the New American standard says, “Rejoice in the Lord always.” “Woooh, always?” Yes, always. Again, I will say, “Rejoice. Let your gentle spirit, your forgiving spirit be known to all men. Even when someone has offended you, and we are going to go into that when they have done something wrong to you, you turn around in God’s, and it can only be done by Holy Spirit. You turn around and in forgiveness. Love them. Even those that persecute you. The Lord is near. Be anxious for nothing. Be careful for nothing. Oh, don’t take any of that care on you. Just release it. Let it go. But in everything by prayer and supplication, those are specific requests to God. Everything by prayer and specific requests. With thanksgiving, let them be known to God. And the peace of God which surpasses all comprehension. I don’t understand it, and you won’t understand it, but we let God take it. We will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. And finally, brothers and sisters, verse 8 of Philippians 4, “Whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of a good report, I don’t see anything of getting even there, getting even of something somebody did to you. I’m going to read it again. Whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right. Whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, a good report. If there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things, dwell on them. The things that you have heard and received and heard and seen in me and learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things and the God of peace will be with you.” So when we practice those things of being lovely and those things that have been right by God, those things that are pure, there’s no defilement there, whatever is lovely, whatever is of a good report, we dwell on those things. And back to Matthew 5, verse 8, Jesus is saying here, “You’re blessed when you get your inside world, your mind and heart put right, then you can see God in the outside world.” Whoa, I love that. When you get your mind set on the inside world, the spirit, the spirit things, your mind and your heart, when you get them put right, then you can see God in the outside world. It will be absolutely balanced in everything that you look at. I’m so grateful for that. I’m growing into that. It’s taken a long while, but I’m growing into that. So here’s what I want you to do. God is helping you. And this is from Romans 12. And this again is the message, “Take your everyday ordinary life. You’re sleeping, eating, going to work and walking around life and place it before God as an offering. Lord, I’m lifting up my body, my soul, my spirit to you today, whatever I do today, all my activities are yours. And bless me as I partake of all these different things that I’m partaking of as I meet people, to be a joy to them and not a negative influence to them. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don’t become so well adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Reddly recognize what he once from you and quickly respond to it. Let the culture around you always dragging you down to its level of immaturity. God brings the best out of you develops a well-formed maturity in you. That’s what I’m aiming for. I hope you are also. Father God, I want to be more like you. I want to be more like Jesus. I want to see you in everything I do every day. Oh, Father, let your kingdom come. Let your will be done in me. Say in me. And this is the wonderful song by Matt Marr. Father, let your kingdom come. Father, let your will be done. Oh, no, there’s in heaven right here in my heart. Father, let your kingdom come. Father, let your will be done. Oh, no, there’s in heaven right here in my heart. Give us this day, daily bread, forgive us, forgive us. As we forgive the ones who sin against us, forgive them. And lead us God to temptation, what the laborers from the evil ones. Let your kingdom come. Father, let your kingdom come. Father, let your will be done in me. And this is the wonderful song by Matt Marr. Father, let your kingdom come. Father, let your kingdom come. Father, let your kingdom come. You hear in my heart, keep us safe And we pray forgive us, forgive us. As we forgive the ones who sinning, and us forgive them, and lead us not into temptation, but to me and for us, from evil one, let’s keep on coming. It’s yours, it’s yours, all yours, all yours, the kingdom, the power, the glory of yours. It’s yours, it’s yours, all yours, all yours, forever and ever, the kingdom is yours. It’s yours, it’s yours, all yours, all yours, the kingdom, the power, the glory of yours. It’s yours, it’s yours, all yours, all yours, forever and ever, the kingdom is yours. It’s yours, all yours, all yours, the kingdom, the power, the glory of yours. It’s yours, it’s yours, it’s yours, all yours, all yours, forever and ever, the kingdom is yours. It’s yours, it’s yours, it’s yours, all yours, forever and ever, the kingdom is yours. It’s yours, it’s yours, it’s yours, forever and ever, the kingdom is yours. It’s yours, it’s yours, it’s yours, forever and ever, the kingdom is yours. It’s yours, it’s yours, it’s yours, forever and ever, the kingdom is yours. It’s yours, it’s yours, it’s yours, forever and ever, the kingdom, the power, the glory of yours. It’s yours, it’s yours, forever and ever, the kingdom is yours, forever and ever, the kingdom is yours. It’s yours, it’s yours, forever and ever, the kingdom is yours, forever and ever, the kingdom is yours. Praise God. Oh, I go around my house sometimes. It’s yours, it’s yours, it’s all, it’s yours, because I want him to know I don’t hold on to anything in my house. I don’t hold on to anything in my life here on this earth. The power and the glory are yours, Lord. It’s yours and deep gratitude is what God wants in us. He wants to see that rejoicing always and again, I say rejoice and in everything giving thanks. Because Paul, although he was persecuted, he was stoned, they thought he was dead and he picked himself up and walked back into town. Oh my goodness, he was whipped, he went through so many trials and yet he says, rejoice in the Lord always and again, I say rejoice. That’s the kind of person I want to be, no matter what comes along and I know that’s very difficult because, oh, for most of my life, I was wondering, why is this happening to me? Why is that happening to me? And God has been so good, so rich, oh, so kind, so gentle, especially when Kimberly and Dana’s father died. Why? Why Lord? Why? And then I realized, especially when Darren came into my life, Lord, you know, you know, you know what is the best thing for me in my life. So I’m never going to ask why again. I’m not, why is out of my vocabulary? It’s kind of like words like “but” or “what if” you get rid of those words. Eventually you do when you’re maturing in the Lord Jesus Christ, you get rid of those words because they’re not important anymore. Those words belong to a humanistic secular society who doesn’t trust in a God who created the heavens and the earth. And he knows what’s best for you. He has prospered the man of God and the woman of God that follow after him. That’s what’s so important. As you follow God, he is going to give you exactly what is the best for you. I hope you are listening to this today. Let it go. Give it to God. It is so worth it, my friend. I wish I had done this years and years ago, although I know that God has led me and guided me by His grace because I have been… I know it’s not been the best in the whole world, but I have been reading the Word of God every day and I know some of it has been mechanical, but I was reading the Word of God. And now it’s becoming the most important thing in my life. And I hope as you begin reading the Word on a daily basis, I know it may be mechanical at first. But keep doing it. Keep doing it. It’s going to become rich and revelatory for you in your life. Oh God bless you and keep you. I hope that you have a wonderful day and a wonderful night in the Lord Jesus Christ.
