SPEAKER 01 :
I’m rejoicing. Oh, welcome to Call to Freedom. Sometimes it gets so gloomy around here. And yesterday it was snowing and cloudy. Today it is just sunny. And I’m rejoicing. And you are the rejoicing of God’s heart. I’m rejoicing that you’re joining me today. May you feel his presence as you go about your daily tasks and share his love with those he brings across your path. Just this morning I went across the city to your bindery. And I’ve just loved those people, Luann and Kurt. Luann and Kurt Wood, they had just been dear friends for so long, and before Darren left, he loved them also. And they’re going to be closing the doors, not just yet. She’s going to leave the door open for me at least another couple months for the folding of the newsletter. But as we were talking, I hugged her, and as we were talking, I wanted to let her know that I was empathizing with her. I was in that whole event of moving, and I can’t even imagine, friends, I’ve moved 26 times, 26 households. But this type of printing presses, huge, big, huge mechanical printing presses and folders, and I mean, some of them are almost two stories high, and they’ve got to move all this out. and i was saying you know what the thing that is almost as bad as death and uh divorce is moving and she says oh i agree with you it’s moving and we had we just had such a wonderful time talking and sharing god and his love and we’ve just gone really close to one another i praise god for our friends and i hope you have friends like that that You don’t see them very often, but when you do, you just can kind of go on communicating. Oh, you are blessed to dispense for in him you live and move and have your being. And every once in a while, I like to talk about what’s going on in the news because there are so many things happening. And from the CBN News, here’s an article. Marco Rubio and the Trump leaders met in Saudi Arabia with Arab leaders this week. Their meeting follows a heart-wrenching Saturday when Hamas terror group released three more hostages. They’re promising for this agreement of releasing all the hostages. And I’m sure there are going to be some hostages that the bodies are going to be carried out. Monday also marks 500 days since the October 7th, 2023 attacks. Secretary Rubio and Prime Minister Netanyahu met last week and agreed that Hamas must be destroyed. Rubio stated Hamas cannot continue as a military or government force. And frankly, as long as it stands as a force that can govern or as a force that can administer or as a force that can threaten by use of violence, peace becomes impossible. They must be eliminated. It must be eradicated. Netanyahu once again backed President Donald Trump’s plan to help all Gazans leave their war-torn, devastated region while others rebuild it under U.S. control. He believes many Palestinians want to leave, but Hamas won’t let them. Netanyahu declared, everyone says this is the largest open-air prison in the world, not because of us. We tried to get the population to leave, to get them out of harm’s way. But Hamas, with rifles, with gunfire, tries to prevent them from leaving. And that is the truth, friends. Trump’s Middle East envoy, Steve Witkoff, recently visited Gaza and saw why people can’t reasonably live in much of it now. It’s completely devastated, Witkoff observed. And that begs the question, should people be allowed in there in those dangerous conditions? Thank God we’ve had no incidents. I’m so grateful that President Trump has around him people that really believe in God. They’re born again believers. Praise the Lord. But there’s 30,000 and Witkoff goes on to say there’s 30,000 unexploded shells throughout Gaza and the buildings are all down. It’s utter destruction. Netanyahu also indicated this weekend he and Trump and the Trump administration see eye to eye on the threat from Iran. Israel and America stand shoulder to shoulder in countering the threat of Iran, he claimed. We agree that the Ayatollahs must not have nuclear weapons. And I just want to let you know that they are going hand in hand in agreement, Netanyahu and President Trump. I’m so grateful. President Trump is the one who moved the capital from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. That is wonderful. Our memory verse for this week is Psalm 90, verse 14. I love this verse. It just perks me up for the day. I hope it does you. Oh, satisfy us in the morning with thy loving kindness that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days. And the passion says, let the sunrise of your love, that’s God’s love, and our dark night break through our clouded dawn again. Only you can satisfy our hearts, filling us with songs of joy to the end of our days. We’ve been overwhelmed with grief. Come now and overwhelm us with gladness. Replace our years of trouble with decades of delight. Let us see your miracles again and let the rising generation see the glorious wonders you’re famous for. Oh, Lord, our God, let your sweet beauty rest upon us. Come work with us and then our works will endure. You will give us success in all we do. And right before I came into the studio, I was listening to James Dobson on 1220. And my show is also on 1220 at 11 o’clock in the morning if you want a different station to listen to Call to Freedom. You can go to 1220 at 11 o’clock in the morning and hear Call to Freedom. And here it says, let your sweet beauty rest upon us. Come work with us. Work with us. And yesterday I was talking about God working in us. And then our works will endure. You will give us success in all we do. As I was listening to Elizabeth Elliot, oh, what a marvelous person. She was the wife of Jim Elliot, who was killed, speared, by the Akka Indians in 1955, his whole crew. They landed with their little plane on the shores of the river there, and they had never had contact with this vicious tribe who were cannibals. And they landed with gifts and all of that, and they were killed. And she went on, I just can’t imagine this, she went on in her love for for the unsaved to go to their village later with her little daughter and translate their language. She is a remarkable woman. And she was saying, when it first happened and we lost Jim, I said, God, why couldn’t you do something about this? God has a better plan, my friend. He really does. And he knew that he would put the love for the people into Elizabeth’s heart and she would go down there and continue and complete the work that her husband Jim had started. Oh, isn’t that marvelous? And I don’t understand why death comes so early to some wonderful people. But God does have a plan. And we know that Jim Elliott and all those who have gone before us, friend, are with God in heaven. Praise the Lord. Philippians 4, 4 through 7 says, Rejoice in the Lord always. And again, I say rejoice. Celebrate God all day, every day. I mean revel in him. Remember when I spoke about that yesterday? Revel means intense pleasure or satisfaction. Make it as clear as you can to all you meet that you’re on their side, working with them and not against them. Help them see that the master is about to arrive. He could show up any minute and he is showing up in you. In you, he lives and moves and has his being. I want you to remember that. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life. I’m so grateful. I’ve got to admit to you right now, I am so grateful that God is at work in me because I need a lot of work. I need a lot of work done on my flesh and my mind. But I know that in Romans 12, verse 2, it says, So be no longer conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. I know that when I go to the word every day, He’s transforming my mind and getting me on the same channel that he is. And oh, friend, that is such a comfort. That’s such a reassurance. And I want to say to you today, he who has begun a good work in you, is able to complete that work in you until Jesus returns. That’s Philippians 1.6. And again, in Philippians 2.13, God is at work in us both to will and to work for his good pleasure. No second guessing allowed. I want to talk to you today. Just a little bit about your identity. Now, in Darren’s Seven Steps to Inner Freedom, he identifies identity, your identity. It’s like having a passport, who you are. That’s your identity. You’re either working for the kingdom of darkness or you’re on Jesus’ side in the kingdom of light. And your blueprint, there’s an identity and a blueprint. My identity is who I am in Jesus Christ. I hope you’re the same. My blueprint is that of a radio host. I don’t know what your blueprint is. It’s what you do, what you have done in this world. So I want to talk to you a little bit about the enemy that is trying to take our identity in. Every day, every day, Creflo Dollar calls him the stealth deceiver. And why stealth? Because the stealth was created by our armed forces, the Air Force, to come into contact with criminals. a ground or the people that they’re wanting to bomb without any kind of introduction. They have no idea it’s there. It’s stealth. It’s hidden away. And that’s what the deceiver does. He hides. He hides around corners. He comes crouching, crawling, trying to disrupt your thought life with lies and deception. In fact, from the very beginning, he’s tried to steal your identity. Yes, even as a child, he was trying to tell you that you’re not what you were born to be. He’s done that with the transgender society. We’re turning that all around. Praise God. The children who are born male decide at too young an age that they’re not male anymore. They’re female. Well, their identity is all confused and mixed up. And you know that many of them regret having sex. Part of their bodies removed. Oh, I just can’t even I can’t fathom that. And remember that your identity as a believer is Jesus Christ. In fact, from the beginning, the Satan has tried to steal and he’s trying to give you a false passport. And Jesus said in John 10.10, he’s come to steal. And some of you may think that he’s trying to steal your property or physical things. But no, he’s trying to steal your identity, who you are. He stole Adam and Eve’s identity and even Jesus’ identity. He tried to steal Jesus’ identity when he was in the wilderness. And you know that Jesus had to go through the wilderness alone. He had to go through the wilderness alone. And some of us have to endure that time in the wilderness because God is wanting to talk to us. He’s wanting to change some of our ideas and ideals. And he does such a wonderful job. And now you have Holy Spirit in you who’s coaxing you and gently prodding you sometimes and comforting you. Well, he stole Adam and Eve’s identity and even tried to steal Jesus’ identity. And listen to these words from the deceiver, from the stealth deceiver. As he came to Jesus in Matthew 4, and the tempter came and said to Jesus, if you are the son of God, command that these stones be made bread. And he answered, it is written, man shall not live on bread alone. Oh, Jesus is such a great creator in these wonderful scriptures. But on every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God, that’s where you get your identity. Every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. And see, the devil came and said, if you are the son of God, well, Jesus knew he was the son of God. In John 10, he says, I and the father are one. So then the devil tried again. He took him into the holy city, Jerusalem, and had him stand on the pinnacle of the temple and said to him, again, if you are the son of God, throw yourself down. Jesus didn’t have to do that. For it is written, he will command his angels concerning you and on their hands, they will bear you up. No, that’s scripture. But that’s not for Jesus. Jesus knew exactly what he was. And the devil was trying to humble Jesus to a point where he would question his identity. And our Lord had the right answer again. On the other hand, it’s written, you shall not put the Lord your God to the test. Who’s he talking about? He’s talking about himself. You shall not put the Lord your God to the test. Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. And he said to him, All these things I will give you if you will fall down and worship me. Then Jesus said, Go, Satan, for it is written, You shall worship the Lord your God and serve him only. Now, there are going to come times in your life, in my life, when the devil will show you something absolutely amazing, and it’s sparkly, and it’s gorgeous, and it’s shining. You can have this. You can have this if you don’t declare your income tax this year, if you are just a little deceptive, and you don’t declare everything. And if you don’t, Just give in, just for a slight moment, that can open a door to the deception, to the stealth deceiver. And he can actually have access into your mind and your heart. And so I want to tell you, keep those doors closed. No, devil, no. Greater is he who is in me than he who is in the world. Because we want him to know and we declare before him that Jesus is our Savior and Lord. twice during that temptation in matthew 4 satan tried to take jesus identity but jesus knew who he was and who he is he will try to rob you of your identity also and that’s why you must store up in your heart the scripture in your heart so when that time comes when you’re in the car when you’re out in the yard when you’re walking your dog whatever you’re doing you’ve got a scripture in your heart If it’s the scripture we say every day on the air from Acts 17, verse 28, in him, in Jesus Christ, I live and move and have my being. You are in Christ and that’s your identity. You’re in Jesus and Jesus is in you. When that stealth deceiver tries to tell you otherwise, you say, I am a new creation. I no longer live for myself, for this world, but by a new living way to live in Christ Jesus. And it’s so wonderful to know that in 1 Corinthians 1.30, you got to learn this one. 1 Corinthians 1.30, you are in Christ who is wisdom from God, redemption, righteousness, and sanctification. Through Jesus, you have God’s wisdom and redemption and righteousness and sanctification. You are all of these. You are redeemed. You are righteous before God, and you are going through that wonderful sanctifying process. That sanctifying process makes you holier than you were yesterday. That’s what I’m believing, that God is working in me to make me a better person, a person that follows after him in everything that I do. Let me say this in a different way. 1 Corinthians 1.30, and I’m going to say it again. Jesus is in me. Say that with me. Jesus is in me. Wisdom from God, redemption, righteousness, and sanctification. What a blessing to be able to counterattack when that enemy throws falsehoods at us. And again, 1 John 4.4, greater is he who is in me than he who is in the world. If you have any doubt about who you belong to, listen to this. Romans 8. I love Romans 8. Now, remember, in Romans 7, Paul is going through quite a stretching of his physical, his mental, and his spiritual. And he’s saying, boy, that which I want to do, I don’t do. That which I want to do, I don’t do. Oh, who can rescue me from this battle that I’m going through? And then he praises God and begins the first part of Romans 8 with, There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, for the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set me free from the law of spirit of death. And I want you to know that as we learn those verses, and I don’t have them all down. I’m going through them almost every day. All these wonderful verses, getting them down into my heart. So we know that in the middle part of Romans 8, verses 15 through 17, and this is in the Living Translation. So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful or a slave anymore to darkness. Instead, you received God’s spirit when he adopted you as his own children. Now we call him Abba. Abba. You know, if I did anything wrong, terrible in my early physical life which I did I made some really big mistakes my earthly father loved me he didn’t say out of this house get out of this house and even if he would have he is my father I am his child. He can disown me, and I’m still his child. So now we can call God Abba Father, for his spirit joins with our spirit to affirm that we are God’s children. And since we are his children, we are his heirs. In fact, together with Christ, we are heirs of God’s glory. And glory means God’s presence on this physical earth. But if we are to share his glory, we must also share his suffering. And that suffering, friend, is the crucifying of the flesh that has not at all been beneficial when it comes to the kingdom of God. I am crucified with Christ. Nevertheless, I live. Yet not I, but Christ lives in me. That’s Galatians 2.20. And the life I live in the flesh, I live by the faith of the Son of God who loved me and gave himself for me. Oh, I’ve gone on and on with scripture today because I want you to know that that you have a foundation in Jesus Christ. And if you have that foundation on the rock, Jesus Christ, you will not fall. You may stumble sometimes, but you will not fall. You have a strong foundation that’s going to keep you going. And I’m going to be quoting Galatians 2, 20 and 21. Christ’s life showed me how and enabled me to do it. I identified myself completely with him. That’s your identity. Indeed, I have been crucified with Christ. My ego is no longer central. It is no longer important that I appear righteous before you or have your good opinion. I’m no longer driven to impress God. Christ lives in me. Hallelujah. I want you to know that God is with you. He is there for you. He is not going to leave you without anything. He’s going to keep you strong. He’s going to keep you growing, and he’s going to keep you bearing fruit. Here’s Matt Marr.
SPEAKER 03 :
Father, let your kingdom come Father, let your will be done On earth as in heaven Right here in my heart Father, let your kingdom come Father, let your will be done On earth as in heaven, right here in my heart. Give us this day our daily bread. Forgive us, forgive us. As we forgive the ones who sin against us. Forgive them and lead us not into temptation. But deliver us from the evil one. Let your kingdom come. Father, let your kingdom come. Father, let your will be done on earth as in heaven. Right here in my heart. Father, let your kingdom come. Father, let your will be done on earth as in heaven. Forgive us as we forgive the ones who sin against us. Forgive them and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil one. it’s yours forever and ever
SPEAKER 01 :
Father, let your kingdom come. So I’m not going back to my old life. Is it not clear to you that to go back to that old rule keeping, peer pleasing religion would be an abandonment of everything personal and free in my relationship with God? I refuse to do that. to repudiate God’s grace. If a living relationship with God could come by rule keeping, then Christ died unnecessarily. But I’ve laid all that aside and continue to receive from him his acceptance of me. And friend, you need to do that same thing. Leave everything aside and continue to receive from him his acceptance of you, your identity in Jesus Christ. 1 John 3 says, Behold what manner of love… the Father has lavished upon me that I am a child of God. Ah, behold what manner of love the Father has lavished upon you that you are a child of God. Remember that, friend. Remember that when all the stuff comes roaring at you in your thought. Just cast them down and thank God that you are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. So good being with you today. I’ll be back, the Lord willing, tomorrow and talk to you a little bit more about righteousness. In Jesus’ name, have a great day. God bless you and take joy.
