SPEAKER 03 :
Welcome to Calda Freedom. Oh, if you don’t have to get out today, oh, I hope that you’re just staying inside and where you’re warm and you’re having a cocoa or coffee, something nice and warm because, oh, it is burr cold. That polar ice event is probably over the most part of the United States. And I can’t even imagine yesterday. Kimberly, whose daughter Hannah lives in Fargo, North Dakota, said it was minus 22. So I cannot even begin to imagine what it’s like today. But they love it up there. And Fargo is really a town that is growing very fast, one of the fastest growing towns in the Midwest. And it’s probably because the pay is so good. But, oh, they’re staying warm in their apartment. I’m so glad. I’m so glad you joined me today. These are days when the last days before Jesus comes when it’s characterized by frequency and intensity, more frequent storms. I’ve not seen the snow and the wind. like January and February, well, for a while. And I just see so much intensity in everything that’s going on, so much intensity. And even the plane crashes. I know that if you’re listening to the news at all, you just hear one plane coming down and another plane coming down, and this… A plane that came down in Toronto just yesterday flipped upside down, and the people were hanging from their seats. All 80 people got out, although three of them went to the hospital. Oh, my goodness. If you don’t have to fly, don’t fly. But in this time, you know, during these cold seasons, cold winter seasons, you’ll probably want to fly. So God bless you and keep you safe. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are God’s ways higher than our ways and his thoughts than our thoughts. Praise the Lord that he has a wonderful, creative mind that created the whole universe. He’s your God today. Oh, you’re so blessed to dispense grace. For in him you live and move and have your being. And our memory verse for this week is Psalm 90, verse 14. I love this verse. It just makes me just full of joy as I say it. I say it in the morning right after I get up. Oh, satisfy us in the morning with thy love and kindness that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days. That loving kindness contains all the different loves that we have. The agape, the eros, the storge, all those different loves. The phileo, the friendship love, that contains all the love that God is. Now, Some of us on this earth, we have to learn one love at a time. It’s very difficult, so I’m so grateful. Oh, satisfy us in the morning with thy loving kindness, O Lord, that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days. In the Passion, Psalm 90, 14-17 says, Let the sunrise of your love and our dark night break through our clouded dawn again. Only you can satisfy our hearts, filling us with songs of joy to the end of our days. We’ve been overwhelmed with grief. Come now and overwhelm us with gladness. Replace our years of trouble with decades of delight. Oh, I pray that for you today, friend, that if you’ve had trouble in the past, you aren’t going to have any more. You’re Walking, you’re drawing a line and you’re walking across that line and you’re going to see gladness all the rest of your life. Verse 16 of Psalm 90 says, let us see your miracles again and let the rising generation see the glorious wonders you’re famous for. Oh, Lord, our God, let your sweet beauty rest upon us. Come work with us. See, there’s a verse of scripture. He’s working with us, both to will and to work for his good pleasure. I know that that is Philippians 2.13. But here in Psalm 90, verse 17, come work with us and then our works will endure. You will give us success in all that we do. God rested on the Sabbath day, on the seventh day when he created the earth. But he is at work in you. Yes, he is. He’s working in you to establish a… godly life a holy life for him and i’m rejoicing that he’s still at work in me that work never gets done i’m glad god is doing it because it never gets done on this earth and i gave you philippians 4 and it’s 4 through 7 and i just want to turn again to that let’s see galatians ephesians It’s the vowels. If you’re looking at the epistles, Galatians is A, Ephesians is E, Philippians is I, and Colossians is O. A-E-I-O. It’s something that I learned when I was a little girl, and I still remember it. Oh, rejoice in the Lord always. This is Philippians 4. And I will say rejoice. Let your forbearing spirit be known to all men. The Lord is near. He is near you, my friend. And be anxious for nothing but pray. Be anxious for nothing but pray. Thank God for what you have. Oh, thank God that he has blessed you in every way. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your heart and your mind in Christ Jesus. Those are two places you need to watch. Your heart and your mind. And God is making sure that he is guarding that. Holy Spirit, you are guarding our hearts. and our minds today. Thank you so much. Yesterday, I introduced you to God telling Moses in Exodus 33, and this is the living translation. I will personally go with you, Moses. He’s saying that to you today. He’s saying, Joe or George or Hannah. I’m thinking of Hannah, my granddaughter. I am personally going with you today and I will give you rest. Everything will be fine for you. Then Moses said, if your present doesn’t go with us, then don’t lead us up from here. For your presence among us sets our people and me apart from all other people on this earth. The Lord kept his promise to Moses, and he will keep his promise to you as you trust him and rest in his care. I know that Marco Rubio is meeting today in Saudi Arabia with Arab leaders, and they’re wanting peace and peace. The wonderful realization is that God said that his people, Israel, the Jewish people, he has set them apart from all other people on the earth. And we want the Arab nations and those nations in the Middle East. to recognize Israel as such a special place that God ordained it. And I know they don’t serve the same God, but I pray that they will begin to understand that Israel is very much needed in the world scene. And so Jesus is saying here, God, I’m… I’m allowing you to work in me to bring forth all these nations to realize that Israel is your jewel. Israel is your beloved. Praise the Lord. As I told you about the disciples in it was Mark four, Mark four. Yes, they were being fearful and having no faith in the vicious storm that erupted right when they were crossing the Sea of Galilee. And Jesus was asleep on a cushion in the stern. I want to direct you to the very beginning of fear. They had fear. And Jesus said, why are you afraid? Why is it you have no fear? I mean, you have no faith. Excuse me. You have fear. You have no faith. And so Jesus was directing them to the very point of where they were emotionally distraught. And that was fear had entered in. Now, the beginning of fear is in the very beginning of time. And it’s brought on when we listen to the voice of the deceiver, our enemy, Satan. When Adam and Eve gave into temptation and took on the coat of pride and the lust of the flesh, what they saw, they desired. The realization of what they did was almost immediate. I realized this as I was reading it this year, that when they realized what they had done, given into they’ve given into the devil the serpent who you know who was in the form of the devil of the serpent who was the devil in form of a of a snake and in those days i have heard some bible scholars say the serpent did have legs but then after the curse god cursed him then he crawled on his belly through what is now today now in genesis 3 7 through 19 satan told eve God knows that the moment you eat from that tree, you’ll see what’s really going on. I want to point out, you’ll see what’s really going on because so many people fear that they’re missing out on something. They’ve got to be on Facebook. They’ve got to be on Instagram. They’ve got to be on these social media channels. They’ve got to be alert all the time with the news. They’ve got to know that they know so they can tell everybody that they know. And God already knew that they saw what really could happen and what was going on. Satan brought on a disguise of sorts. He brought on a false narrative. And immediately, the two of them did see what’s really going on. They saw themselves naked and ashamed and fearful. That’s where fear came in. Before that, they were enjoying the comforts of a beautiful garden, everything they ever wanted, ever needed. God was supplying for them. Oh, oh, the fear that came upon them. They sewed fig leaves together as makeshift clothes for themselves. And when they heard the sound of God strolling in the garden in the evening breeze, the man and his wife, Adam and Eve, hid in the trees of the garden, hid from God. Well, you think you’re hiding from God. I hope you’re not hiding from God today because he knows everything about you. He knows exactly where you are. And God called to him. In verse 9 of Genesis 3, where are you? Adam said, I heard you in the garden and I was afraid because I was naked and I hid. God said, who told you you were naked? Did you eat from that tree I told you not to eat from? Did you go into that bar that I told you not to go into? Did you go into that house of prostitution that I told you not to go into? Did you go into that place of deception that I told you not to go into? The man said, the woman gave to me as a companion. She gave me the fruit from the tree and I ate it. He admitted it. He ate it. God said to the woman, what is this that you’ve done? The serpent seduced me. I ate it. Now, these are excuses. And we always, you know, if we do something wrong, we use that excuse narrative. It was him. It was her. It was the devil made me do it. And the blame game begins there when you realize that you’ve sinned. Are you blaming someone you had a part in? Oh, I bless you with a spirit of truth today. God told the serpent, because you’ve done this, you’re cursed. Cursed beyond all cattle and wild animals. Cursed to slink on your belly. And that’s where some of the Bible scholars believe he lost his legs. And he’s slithering around on the belly and eat dirt all your life. I’m declaring war between you and the woman, between your offspring and hers. He’ll wound your head and you’ll wound his heel. He’s telling them about Jesus. God told the woman, I’ll multiply your pains in childbirth. You’ll give birth to your babies in pain. You’ll want to please your husband. And some translations say you want to dominate your husband. Now, that’s in some translations. but he’ll lord it over you. And there are husbands today, God bless you, that you believe that you’ve got to prove to your wife that you are the supreme being of that household. You don’t have to. You are an even partner with that precious wife. And the wife, the husband, God is going to give you the same platform of equality in your marriage. God told the man, because you listened to your wife and ate from the tree, that I commanded you not to eat from. The very ground is cursed because of you. Getting food from the ground will be as painful as having babies is for your wife. You’ll be working in pain all your life long. The ground will sprout thorns and weeds. You’ll get your food the hard way, planting and tilling and harvesting, sweating in the fields from dawn to dusk until you return to that ground yourself, dead and buried. You started out as dirt, you’ll end up dirt. Wow. That’s amazing. And we see that in the past, I’m going to have an article about Darren’s family coming from Ireland because there was famine, poverty, and there was a potato famine. They worked so hard. They wanted life to be easier. When they got to the United States, it wasn’t really any easier. They had to till the land and then the hail came. Oh, I remember my dear father out in the middle of the field after a heavy hail storm and just looking at the beans that were just slammed into the mud and the beets, the crops. And he either had to start over or he had to go to the bank and ask for another loan. So sad, but God has redeemed us and he has redeemed your dominion as you realize and as you believe and as you mark your dominion in the name of Jesus that Satan, you cannot have a part of my dominion in Jesus’ name. Genesis 3, 21-24, I’m going to explain a little bit further. God made leather clothing for Adam and his wife and dressed them. God went out and killed an animal, the first sacrifice of an animal. He made leather clothing. Where did he get it? From an animal, the first sign of blood letting. God said, “…the man has become like one of us, capable of knowing everything ranging from good to evil.” What if he now should reach out and take fruit from the tree of life and eat and live forever? Never! This cannot happen. So God expelled them from the Garden of Eden. He knew now that they did not have self-control. And he knew that there was pride looming and there was lust of the flesh. And he sent them to work the ground, the same dirt from which they came. He threw them out of the garden and stationed angel cherubim and revolving sword of fire east of it, guarding the path to the tree of life. Adam and Eve disobeyed God’s directions. They became prideful, lustful, and fearful. And the rest that they had so enjoyed became burdensome and sorrowful. Oh, the joy of having sins forgiven. Friends, that is such a wonderful realization that you know your sins have been forgiven. God will not remember them. We don’t count ourselves free and full of joy as we should. God made a way where there was no way to be in his presence after giving into the enemy through pride and lust. And we’ve all been through it. We’ve all had their pride. We’ve all had the lust for things in this world. Oh, we have. And you can deny that, but you have. John tells us in 1 John 2, 15 through 17, Do not love the world and the things of the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, and this is what Eve gave in to, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the boastful pride of life. This is 1 John 2, and it’s verse 16. The lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the boastful pride of life. Some of you know people that have spent and spent until they’ve had to mortgage their homes and then bankrupt because their eyes had such lust in them for getting, getting, getting more and more and more. And it’s not from the Father, but it’s from the world. The world is passing away and it’s lust, but the one who does the will of God lives forever. I remember listening to, yes, I’m old enough to remember that J. Paul Getty was living on this earth before he passed away in the 70s. And they asked him, now that you’re the richest man in the world, what do you want? He says, more, more, more money, more, more, more. So you decide that you can’t rest. You’ve got it in you. You’re excited. You’re jumping up and down. You just got to go, go, go. You got to work your way to heaven. Well, then God rests. If you’ve got to work, God rests. If you rest in him, then he goes to work for you. I heard this from Creflo Dollar. It’s beautiful. God is working for you if you will let him. And in John 5, verse 5 through 18, Jesus went to the pool of Bethesda. where an invalid had been there for 38 years. Jesus asked him, Do you want to get well? Well, here come the excuses again, just like Adam and Eve. Sir, when the water is stirred, I don’t have anybody to put me in the pool. By the time I get there, somebody else is already in. Jesus said, Get up, take your bedroll, start walking. The man was healed on the spot. He picked up his bedroll and walked off. That day happened to be the Sabbath. Oh, really? Jesus was doing so much that was opposite of the law. And I hope you’re realizing this as you’re reading the Gospels. The Jews stopped the healed man and said, it’s the Sabbath. You can’t carry your bedroll around. It’s against the rules. But he told them, the man who made me well told me to. He said, Take your bedroll and start walking. They asked, Who gave you the order to take it up and start walking? But the healed man didn’t know, for Jesus had slipped away into the crowd. A little later, Jesus found him in the temple and said, You look wonderful. You’re well. Don’t return to a sinning life or something worse might happen. Don’t go back to that sin that you were committing. And it’s like Jesus, neither do I condemn you to the woman that was caught in adultery. But don’t sin. Don’t sin anymore. The man went back and told the Jews that it was Jesus who had made him well. From then on, they were out to get Jesus because he did this kind of thing on the Sabbath. They didn’t care at all that the man was healed. A man who had been an invalid for 38 years, folks. Oh, the pride of it all. But Jesus defended himself. My father is working straight through. My father is working straight through. Do you see that word, working? My father is working straight through. Even on the Sabbath, so am I. Jesus is working for you today, friend. As I said before, this story, if you rest, God will go to work for you. If you work, God will rest. So are you working or are you resting? I hope you’re resting in him. And Jesus goes on to say in John 14, don’t you believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words that I speak to you aren’t mere words. I don’t just make them up on my own. The Father who resides in me crafts each word into a divine act. That’s what he’s doing in you. He’s working in you both to will and to work for his good pleasure, his perfect pleasure for you. He’s not going to make garbage. He’s not going to make trash. No, he’s going to make a perfect you. And Jesus goes on to say, believe me, I am in the Father and my Father is in me. If you can’t believe that, believe what you see. These works, these works that he’s doing every day. The person who trusts me will not only do what I’m doing, but even greater things. He says that also in chapter 14 of the book of John. You’re going to do greater works because I am on my way to the Father and I’m giving you the same work to do that I’ve been doing. From now on, whatever you request along the lines of who I am and what I am doing, I’ll do it. That’s how the Father will be seen for he who is in the Son. is also in you. He who is in the Son is also in you. The Father’s work I’ve seen in the Son, so only believe, my friend, only believe. God is so good, and he wants that goodness to be such a vital part of you. Here’s Cece Winans.
