And in that you will see the details for the time and location and a map for the directions. So come and join us this Saturday at 6 o’clock p.m. Now join me in our live service for the continuation of this message, part one, what is the Kingdom of God? You also have to learn his language. You also have to learn his currency. You also have to learn his MO, his method or ways of doing things, his righteousness, his right ways, the ways of God. When I was really studying on this, and I mean actually 25 years ago I started writing my curriculum from my Bible school and I was actually on a pursuit of asking God, how do you do what you do? How did you turn water into wine? How did you part the Red Sea? How do you raise the dead? How do you perform miracles? Those are all involved in God’s MO. And he never once said those are for me to know, and I’m not telling you. Instead, on the contrary, Jesus said in John 14, “What I’ve been doing, you will do also in greater things than these shall you do.” He expected us to do his miracles. He expected it. He expected it. But the problem is we have had no clue of his MO. And therefore we don’t get the results. So we are pursuing learning Jesus MO so that we can get the end results that he got and that were promised in Matthew 6.33. Is the MO of God, how does God do it? He does. How did he create light? Hallelujah. And when we do what he does, we will get the results that he gets. So now we are beginning to understand by comparing the Kingdom of Great Britain. We’re understanding we need to dig into God’s MO. When we learn God’s MO, and this is so important because there are some denominations and evangelical basic Christianity teachings that I even heard taught, not in any church that I’ve gone to, but I’ve heard others talk about it, that we could never do what God does, that Jesus performed miracles, have you ever heard this? He performed, he was able to do miracles because he was the Son of God. Have you heard that? That’s not why he was able to do miracles. He knew the MO. He did everything by God’s MO. And then his whole purpose on earth, which we’re going to look at, which was to teach the MO. That’s what Jesus came to do. Teach the MO, the method of operating. And then he said things like John 14, what I’ve been doing, you’re going to do also in greater things in these shall you do because I’m going to the Father. So into the Father, you’re going to continue walking in this MO. I’ve been teaching you this. So you know, there are parts of the church that have been saying we can never do it because he did it because he was the Son of God. Well, to tell you the truth, so are we. If you belong to Christ, you are the Son of God, Galatians chapter 3. We do our sons of God, so that even cannot eliminate us. But the idea has been that we could never do anything Jesus did because we are not in his class. He is one of a kind all by himself and nobody can ever attain to doing what he did. That’s not right. He came to teach what he did and how to do it. And we are now as we are born again in his class. We are the sons of God and he raised us up and seated us together with him in heavenly places. So we are no longer looking way up to him and so out of his class. He said, you are now in me and I’m in you and you sit with me on my throne and we are one. We are in his class. We are now born again sons of the living God. We are of his class. That’s all part of the story of the glory. It’s exciting. We are in his class now. Hallelujah. But we’re still ignorant. We got in his class. We got born again. We’re sons of God. Yay. But we’re ignorant. We don’t have a clue how to do anything he does or hardly. We’re learning. We’re babies growing up learning his MO to be like our father. So we need to learn that MO. Now I want to show you this. This is so exciting to me. Another exciting morsel. Now that you’re understanding what we’re looking at and where we’re going, we are now going to study the kingdom, not the king. Although we’re going to talk about the king as we’re going to see as we go. Can’t jump ahead too far. But we have to identify the kingdom is not the same as the king. And we are learning the kingdom, the government system methods of operating laws, language and currency. Of God and heaven. It’s like saying, how everything is done in heaven. Exactly. So let’s look. I just love this. Jesus came to the earth and I’m going to jump ahead here a moment in my notes. Because let me ask you this question. When you hear about preaching the gospel, what does that mean to the body of Christ? When evangelists say, I’m called to preach the gospel. What is the gospel that they’re talking about? They’re talking about the cross and the plan of salvation. Right? Let me present something to you that that’s not what Jesus talked about. Go to Matthew chapter 4. Matthew chapter 4 verses 23 and 24. Actually, we’ll just read 23 for time. Matthew 4, 23 says, Jesus went throughout Galilee teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news or the gospel of what? Of the kingdom, the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness among the people. Let me read that again. Jesus went throughout Galilee teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease. Christians have read that their entire lives and thought he meant the cross, but he hadn’t gone to the cross yet. It’s not the cross. It’s not salvation. It’s the kingdom. Go to chapter 9, Matthew 9, 35. Jesus went through all the towns and villages teaching in their synagogues. Now I’m saying in Matthew, so you understand this is not another gospel referring to the same incident. It’s the same gospel, so it’s a different incident. Now we’re in chapter 9. Jesus went through all the towns and villages teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness among the people. So again, we see kingdom and healing going hand in hand. We’ll look at that in another time. But he preached the gospel not of the cross, not salvation, the kingdom. And then go to Mark chapter 1, Mark chapter 1 and verses 14 and 15 in the King James. It says Jesus came into Galilee preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God. Verse 15 and saying the time is fulfilled. The kingdom of God is at hand, repent and believe the gospel. Now notice the kingdom of God is at hand. My translation in the NIV here says the kingdom of God is near. Near and at hand are the same in the Greek at side at hand or near. The kingdom of God is near. The kingdom of God is at hand. Verse 15, 14 and 15. This is after John was put in prison. Jesus went into Galilee proclaiming the gospel of God. The time has come. He said the kingdom of God is near, repent and believe the gospel. The gospel of the kingdom is what he’s talking about. Now go to Luke. Let’s go over to Luke chapter 4 and I want you to make a note on this that this is Jesus mission statement. He said this is my purpose. This is why I came. So if you want to know in one sentence, why did Jesus come? Now of course we know that the whole plan of salvation meant his death on the cross, the new birth, the deliverance of man. So let’s separate his life ministry from his death and crucifixion and all of that was the plan of redemption where he bore our sins and our sickness and he paid the price for us and gave us new birth. But in his life in ministry, what was that all for? Why did he have to walk around for as many years as he did? Why did he just come to earth and die and do nothing else? If the cross was the only thing that he had to do, he could have done that first and just been gone. Why take those other years of ministry? So I do recognize that there’s a difference in purpose of his death and that plan of redemption there has a different purpose than his ministry. Because if his ministry didn’t have a purpose, he wouldn’t have ever had to do those three and a half years. He could have just gone right to the cross and get it done and go to heaven. So there was a purpose for those three and a half years. And Luke 4.43 tells you his purpose or his mission statement for the three and a half years that he ministered. Luke 4.43 says, “But he said, ‘I must preach the gospel of what? The kingdom of God?’ To the other towns also, because that is why I was sent.” What you just heard was the continuation of part 1 of a series of messages called the kingdom of God that I preached in one of our victorious faith services. And this message is called, ‘What is the kingdom of God?’ And we will continue this message again tomorrow. So join me again tomorrow and remember God loves you. You are blessed and highly favored by the Lord.
