Thank you Jimmy Lakey and welcome to Call to Freedom. The Lord has set apart the godly for himself. If you know Jesus as your Savior and Lord today, God has set you apart. Isn’t that wonderful? The Lord will hear when you call to Him. The Lord will hear your prayer, my friend. He really will. You may not see anything in the physical right now, but He is going to work on your behalf. God bless you for having the faith to sustain your weight. (Laughs) Sustain your weighting because sometimes it takes a while. It took nine years for those wells to come through for Darren. And he prayed every day, so I want you to know there is time. There is a season when the Lord is going to bring into manifestation. That glorious thing that you are asking for. And today, at probably close to the end of the program, we are going to take communion. So get your grape juice ready and your cracker to take it with me. I will be so happy to do that. I am excited to do that for you today and with you today. If you don’t have grape juice, I recommend I go to the store and get the little six pack of grape juice. It is real grape juice. It is just not the watered down kind. And you can get a jug of the Welch’s real grape juice. But sometimes I find that it is last, when I don’t take it as often, it doesn’t last as long. So I take the little six bottles of grape juice. And that just really keeps me going because I have communion every week. It keeps me going through the week and it is a blessing. And you, most of us have crackers. So we are going to bless the grape juice and the cracker here in a little bit. Let’s do our Monday Bible slogan. This is my Bible. I am what it says I am. I have what it says I have. I do what it tells me to do. This is my Bible. It has given me new life. It is the Word of God. Oh, praise the Lord for His Word. You are blessed to dispense for in Him you live and move and have your being. And you can always give to call to freedom and even in regards to Samaritans purse. You can go online and where it says definition of what your giving is. You just mentioned Samaritans purse. You can go online by going to freedom street.org and clicking on the online button or donations button. Excuse me, donate button. Yes, that donate button. And last night I was watching Donald Trump at Madison Square Garden. But before that Hulk Hogan came on and he said, are there any notsies in this place? Everybody was cheering. It was packed. It was packed and thousands outside. So we have a reals, a different ethnic groups in there. The Jewish people came, black people came, Hispanics came. Everybody was together arm and arm and shoulder to shoulder at Madison Square Garden. It was just a beautiful, beautiful view with Lee Greenwood singing America. I wish I were close enough to do that. Go there. But it’s standing. One friend went to the rally here in Denver and she said it was eight hours. You just got to be willing and ready to wait for eight hours. So, oh God bless you. Anyway, these are such busy times that all I’m asking you to do is take your ballot to a drop box or to a precinct. I’m going to do that today. And God is giving President Trump the energy and endurance to see this campaign to victory. So we must do our part and pray over your ballot before you take it to the polling place that it will be counted and get to its destination without any hindrance from the enemy. And then you take it to the precinct near you or a drop box knowing that you’ve done your patriotic duty as an American Praise the Lord. And if you would like to have that voting sheet, it’s probably just by email now friends. So if you go to Barbara Carmack at FreedomStreet.org and email me your request for a voting guide. It’s Barbara Carmack, one word lowercase and Carmack is C-A-R-M-A-C-K. Barbara Carmack at FreedomStreet.org and I’ll email you a voting sheet. This week our scripture is Jeremiah 2911. And for most of us, you’ve heard that verse over and over again for I know the plans that I have for you, plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope. And I pray that you will be able to understand that God wants the very best for you. Yes, he does. And he is actually saying to Jeremiah that his people are going to go to captivity. They’re going to be in Babylon for 70 years. And he said, “I will visit you and fulfill my good word to bring you, to bring you back to this place. I’m going to promise I will bring you back to this place, but you have to serve the 70 years because of the Sabbaths that you didn’t keep.” So God has a wonderful memory. He really does. Message translation. And I’m going to read Jeremiah 2911 through 14 in the message. I like this translation. I know what I’m doing says the Lord. I have it all planned out. Plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for. When you call on me, when you come and pray to me, I’ll listen. When you come looking for me, you’ll find me. Yes, when you get serious about finding me on there it is. When you get serious about serving the Lord and want it more than anything else, I’ll make sure you won’t be disappointed. I’ll turn things around for you. Some of you are going through some things that you said, “Oh, this is never going to work out the way I wanted it to.” Well, just ask, “Lord, He’s going to do something for you. You maybe didn’t even dream of praise the Lord.” He says, “I’ll turn things around for you. You can count on it.” Oh, praise God. He’s always kept His promise to me. Always. It’s just been a wonderful adventure, a wonderful journey. As my friend says, “A grand adventure and a wonderful journey that I’ve been on and I want that for you, I really do.” And the one thing we begin to say is, “Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.” Today I was saying, “Thank you to Him again.” And I said, “I wonder how many thousands of times I’ve said, “Thank you, Lord.” And he says, “Well, keep it coming. Keep it coming. I’m enjoying it. I’m enjoying it.” He enjoys you saying, “Thank you, Lord.” Oh, He really does. My confession for today by Rick Renner, I confess that Holy Spirit is my partner. I call out to Him in my moment of need and He quickly comes to my rescue. Did you hear that even Rick Renner? In the middle of the square in Moscow. Wow, He is brave. He quickly comes to my rescue. He enlightens my eyes. He shows me what I cannot see by myself. And He gives me the right words to say when I pray, “Because I have Holy Spirit with me all the time. I am no longer speechless or helpless to know how I should pray.” With Him as my helper, I am getting better and praying the right direction for my life, yes I am. It’s about time. I declare this by faith in Jesus’ name. Oh, Father God. For all of you older troopers that have been on this earth longer than the last election, well the election with Reagan and then the election with Nixon. Oh, God is with you. And He’s actually bringing us into the right direction for our lives. Romans 826 through 28 says, “Meanwhile, the moment we get tired in the waiting, God Spirit, Holy Spirit, is right alongside helping us along.” If we don’t know how or what to pray, it doesn’t matter. He does our praying in and for us, making prayer out of our wordless size or our aching groans. And He is in our groaning, it says in Romans 827 in the New American standard. He knows us far better than we know ourselves, knows our spiritual condition and keeps us present before the Father. That’s why we can be so sure that every detail in our lives of love for God is worked into something good. And in the New American standard, all things work together for good to those that love God and are called according to His purpose. And a friend, it’s such an assurance and a wonderful sense knowing that God is with us wherever we go, whatever we’re doing. Praise the Lord. It was like I was putting all kinds of, I have pine cones in my yard from huge trees. They’re probably 60 foot pine trees from the 1950s. And I was trying to get these pine cones into a trash bag. And if you know what that’s like, it’s almost you cannot do it. And the Lord reminded me that I had a big trash can in the potting shed. So I went there and it’s around a trash can. And so I went and got it. It’s about close to almost two thirds of my height. And I stuck that trash can in there and wound it around the trash can, a trash bag into the trash can. And it was so much better. It was so much easier. Praise the Lord. He gives us ideas to get our work done. Oh, he’s so good. He is so good. And yes, he is concerned about the daily little things that you’re going through. He really is. And he wants the things to be easier for you than you what you have been going through. So I want you to have confidence that God is leading and directing. At this time in history, more than ever before, people are measuring their worth by what other people think of them. It is a fear that has almost captured every human being on this earth. What do you think of me? What do you think of me? What does this dress look like? How do I look before going out or getting in the car? How do I look? Do I look good? Do I look okay? It’s what do you think of me? It’s a question that comes up every day if you measure your worth by what people think of you. Especially obvious is what is happening on social media. It’s a continual looking into the quote likes to bring value to the individual. This idea of getting your worth from total strangers has taken hold all over the world. They’re total strangers. You will never meet them. Fear of rejection. Oh God bless you. Fear of rejection is one of the oldest fears known to man. Adam and Eve who had walked with God in the garden were now fearful of him because of their sin. If you depend on others’ opinions of you, you’re barking up the wrong tree to approval. God has already approved of you when you accepted Christ as your Savior and Lord. And nothing can separate you from God’s love. It’s like your children can, you know, can anything separate you from your love for them? Oh, not me. How can you possibly think that people who believe there is no God have any credibility when it comes to how you look or how you act? Are you depending on the response from someone who really doesn’t care about you? Are you comparing your life with someone else’s life? Paul explained his position in 2 Corinthians 10, 12, 10th chapter, 12 verse. Of course we wouldn’t dare to put ourselves in the same class or compare ourselves with those who rate themselves so highly copying one another, those people of this world. God has made you in his image and he’s given you spiritual gifts that are unique. It is never wise to copy or compare yourself to another believer and certainly not to an unbeliever. If we see ourselves as less valuable than someone else, discouragement sets in and then anger and then total feelings of unworthiness, fear and inferiority. I have learned to take inferiority and laugh it off. To take unworthiness and laugh it off. If I think that I’ve done something stupid and I still do, I laugh. I laugh now. I don’t go into a corner and pout. No, not anymore. We don’t live by comparison to others but by Christ’s love and life in us. And that’s why reading the Bible is so imperative. It gives you that wonderful assurance of who you are and describes you as someone so special. So what causes this dependence on others approval? In our world today, getting likes is comparable to being on drugs. When someone tells you that they approve of your website or a post, that reaction releases a hormone called dopamine, which gives you the same reaction as eating chocolate or winning a lottery. Just like fast food being popular online creates a cycle of reward which makes you crave more. A good post will enlarge the number of views and we feel we have achieved a good thing. We become proud of ourselves because of the likes we get from others. Yeah, it’s the dopamine folks. This approval comes most of the time from strangers. People who don’t know who are determining our value. People we don’t know who are determining our value are worth. And it’s like the little kids are taught from the time they’re taught small. Don’t speak to a stranger. Well, don’t get your likes from a stranger and your reassurances from a stranger. If the reaction we receive from people is negative, then what will the emotional reactions be? Suicide? Let’s follow Jesus example. He taught this lesson well. He never depended on man’s opinions to give him value. His value came from his father. This is what he said to the Jewish leaders. This is strong. You hypocrites. Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you for he wrote these people honor me with their lips but their hearts are far from me. Their worship is a farce for they teach man-made ideas as commands from God. Then Jesus called to the crowd to come and hear. Listen, he said, and try to understand. It’s not what goes into your mouth that defiles you. You are defiled by the words that come out of your mouth. Then the disciples came to him and asked, “Do you realize you offended the Pharisees by what you just said?” Then Jesus replied, “Every plant not planted by my heavenly father will be uprooted. So ignore them. They are blind guides leading the blind.” Now, these Pharisees knew the first five books of the Bible. They had memorized them. They knew them. And here Jesus is saying, ignore them. They are blind guides leading the blind. And if one blind person guides another, they will both fall into a ditch. So my friend, see yourself as a foreigner, an alien on this earth. If anybody out ever asks you, have you ever seen an alien? You say, you point to yourself and say, “Yeah, I’m an alien. I’m an alien here on earth.” This earth is not my home. I’m just a passing through. See yourself as unique and special in every way because you are. He made him who knew no sin to become sin on our behalf that we might become the righteousness of God in him. See, it’s Jesus who described in Isaiah 11-3-4 who does not judge by what he sees or make decisions by what he hears, but decides by the righteousness that is ours through his blood. And that’s a wonderful scripture to learn. Isaiah 11-3-4, “Do not judge by what you see or make decisions by what you hear, but make decisions and judge by what you read in God’s Word and by what Holy Spirit tells you.” And Jesus looked up to heaven and said, “Father, the hour has come, glorify your Son so He can give back glory to you. For you have given Him authority over everyone. He gives eternal life to each one you have given Him.” And this is the way to have eternal life, to know you, the only true God and Jesus Christ, the one you sent to earth. I brought glory to you here on earth by completing the work you gave to me. Now, Father, bring me into the glory we shared before the world began. Praise the Lord. So as we get ready for communion, you may have a power pack. And if you do, you can go to card number 41. And that gives you some of the verses of scripture that you need. And when you do communion by yourself and you may do that as often as you need to, when you are in difficulty or you don’t know what decision to make concerning an issue, you can take communion. And it will bless you. If you are sick, if there is a symptom in your body or something that you don’t know what it is, take communion. It’s just so important. I remember Darren when I came into the kitchen after I’d been into the bedroom for two days with a cloth wrapped around my neck. Because I had a severe sore throat. I had had strep throat as a teenager. I knew what strep throat was. And so I came into the kitchen where he was having, of course, a cup of coffee. And I said, “Darren, I think I have symptoms of strep throat.” And he said, “You can believe that lie if you want to.” Wow, what a thing to say to your sick wife. Oh, I have taken that so much and laughed at it for so many years now. We think things are so bad. It couldn’t get any worse. He said, “Come with me to the table. I wanted us to take communion.” Folks, an hour later there was not even a sign of a sore throat. An hour later, I am so glad I didn’t say, “What do you mean? I’m lying to you. I mean, I am so grateful the Lord guarded my mouth.” And would not let me begin to complain to Him. Oh, praise the Lord. So, you take your card number 41 in the Power Pack and the affirmation is so good because Jesus took of the bread and drank of the cup the night before His death. I accept communion as a vital part of the new covenant to be taken often with holy reverence and thankfulness. Now, you turn to Luke 22. That’s my chapter. I read from all the time. And I read this from the New American Standard. Luke 22, 14 through 20. And get your cup ready and your cracker ready. And thank you, Father. And when it was time, He sat down all the apostles with Him and said, “You’ve no idea how much I have looked forward to eating this Passover meal with you before I enter my time of suffering.” It’s the last one I’ll eat until we all eat it together in the kingdom. Now, this is a meal separate from communion which He introduces. And He said, “Taking the cup, He blessed it, and Father God in Jesus’ name, I bless this cup that I’m holding. I also bless every cup with grape juice, with grape juice to be the blood of Jesus. Right now, we transfer that juice into the blood of Jesus which will energize us and give us energy and knowing and wisdom in everything we do. So, taking the cup, He blessed it and said, “Take this and pass it among you. As for me, I will not drink wine again until the kingdom of God arrives, until He’s glorified.” And then, taking what I do instead of just drinking from the cup, I take my cracker and He said, “Now, taking the bread, He blessed it, and Father God in Jesus’ name, we bless this cracker, to be your broken body, your broken body, Jesus, in your precious name. Break it and give it to them. Now, what we are accustomed to do, we take the cracker and dip it into the juice, into the blood that is now the blood of Jesus. And we take it and we eat it. Not just one, but we take several. This is so good. I remember Darren saying, “He took a whole loaf to a park one day, a whole loaf of bread and a jug of grape juice.” And He took communion all day long because He had a huge problem. It’s just so precious. It’s so beautiful and it’s so vital for us. Okay, so we’re going to take the bread, which is now the broken body of Jesus. We dip it into His blood and we take a second bite. Thank you, Lord. Let’s take one more. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for your broken body and your blood. That was given for me, given for the listeners, given for each and every one of them. To sustain them in this hard time, in this challenging time. So take that last bit. And then you drink all of the juice, all of the blood that is Jesus, because we don’t want any of it contaminated. We have blessed it so we drink the whole cup. Oh, thank you, Lord. Every time I do that, it is just so beautiful. At the same time, He said, “This cup is the new covenant written in my blood. Blood poured out for you. Father in Jesus’ name, I ask that the cup in the bread, which we’ve taken into our bodies, be the substance of things hope for and the evidence of things that will be seen.” Because of the energy and the blood of Jesus, our Savior and Lord, I pray that God will open your eyes to the new possibilities in your life. And the power of God that is available to you right now may it become evident in your life right now. Here’s John with the Lord’s Prayer. [Music] Allo with me, the name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done. Thy will be done. [Music] Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. And believe us not in detentation and deliver us from evil. Our life is the kingdom and the power and all glory forever. Amen. And as Jesus was praying to the Father in John 17, he said of you, “You, my friend, protect them by the power of your name, Father, so that they will be united just as we are. I have given them your word and the world hates them because they do not belong to the world. Just as I do not belong to the world. I’m not asking you to take them out of the world but to keep them safe from the evil one. They do not belong to this world any more than I do. Make them holy by your truth. Your word is truth. Oh, thank you so much for joining me today. I’m on again at 10, 15 tonight. If you didn’t have communion, you can do it tonight or at 5,30 in the morning. But take communion. It’s wonderful. It’s just a wonderful ceremony. I love you. God bless you and take joy. You may get in touch with Barbara at Call to Freedom, Box 370-367, Denver, Colorado, 80237.
