SPEAKER 02 :
Welcome to Call to Freedom. I’m so glad you joined me. I love having you here. Listen to me. And I guess it’s one half hour that I can do the talking. No, I’m just kidding. Oh, welcome. Welcome. Let your light shine before men that they may see your good deeds and praise your father in heaven. Boy, did I see the good deeds this last weekend. I’m going to tell you about it. Oh, it’s just wonderful to know that we can be present in this time right now today and not only be involved in what Jesus is doing on this earth, but even, yes, even involved in what President Trump is doing. And today it was so fun to watch he and the cabinet, the whole cabinet was there around his table. And of course, he lets the media come in. and record everything. He had all the secretaries there and reporting on what they had saved in billions. I’m talking billions of dollars of fraud. I wouldn’t say waste. I would say these billions of dollars were directed toward organizations and people. One, I don’t remember the exact amount, but was given to a nine-month-old baby. And guess where it was going? Right around into the pockets of, yes, the left wing. So it’s just wonderful to know that as we serve Jesus, he is taking care of President Trump, the cabinet, and all that he has commissioned on this earth in these last days to win more and more people for him. Oh, it’s just so wonderful. I hope you’re enjoying it like I am. You are blessed to dispense for in him you live and move and have your being. Oh, let’s do the Monday Bible slogan. This is my Bible. I am what it says I am. I have what it says I have. I do what it tells me to do most of the time. This is my Bible. It has given me new life. It is the word of God. Praise the Lord for his goodness and his faithfulness and his mercy and his grace that surrounds you every day, every day. I usually don’t talk about personal things that happen over the weekend or things that happen in my private life. I don’t know if you’re that interested, but I do need to talk to you about this last weekend because it kind of goes right along with Psalm 90, verse 10 through 14. And this is in the message. As for the days of our life, they contain 70 years, or if due to strength, if you’re strong enough, 80 years, and some of you are beyond 80. Congratulations, and you are doing well. Teach us to live well. Teach us to live wisely and well. We’ve seen enough bad to last a lifetime. Surprise us with love at daybreak, then we’ll skip and dance all day long. We’ve seen enough bad to last a whole lifetime. I totally agree with that psalmist. I believe it was Moses that wrote Psalm 90. What a weekend I had. Kimberly and Matthew and many of you listening were involved, and I’m just… It’s beyond words. I lay in bed the other night and I said, there are no words, Lord God. There just are no words. And he is so precious, and he’s provided such a network of power partners and friends and you, loved ones. My daughter and son decided to have an open house for their mother’s 80th birthday, and they didn’t tell me. And they drove in Wednesday night. Wow, what a day they had. Matthew’s cell phone had been hacked to the point where they took all the data and they sold his number to another carrier. And so it was gone. It was totally gone. He had had that cell phone and the number, well, not the cell phone, but the number for 34 years. And he spent the whole day then, Thursday, while Kimberly and I were on the air, just trying to get a new phone. And he went to AT&T here in Denver to get a new phone. They were so kind to him. And then, besides the phone being destroyed… When they were at Guymon, Oklahoma, and they spent the night there, his Ranger truck lost five gears of its ten gears that he has. So there went the transmission. I’m sorry I’m laughing. It’s like when it rains, it pours. And so they came in Wednesday night tired. did not know that Kimberly had been texting and calling and texting so many people about the surprise party. She came with me to the Thursday broadcast, and I was just totally unaware of what she was doing on her phone. She was busy letting everyone know. She knew that… that this was going to happen. Saturday morning, it’s really fun because Matthew loves Morning Story. He loves the hollandaise sauce on the omelets. So he said, oh, let’s go to breakfast. Let’s go to breakfast. Well, they already had it planned that while we’re at breakfast, these busy bees would come along to my house and just decorate everything. So they took me to Morning Story for breakfast and my friend Archie was there and I wondered, Archie, all the way from Garden City, Kansas? What is he doing here? And when we came back to my house, there were cars lining the street in front of my house. I’m slow, but I’m not that slow. I said to Kimberly, what have you done? because i knew that we had just had the call to freedom saturday meeting a week before and she knows i don’t like to draw attention to myself and she smiled that little smile that so many of you know about when you’ve seen her she had called everyone she could think of power partners who attend the meetings every month relatives living in greeley and on the front range some of whom i hadn’t seen for 15 years She had kept some of the friends in the loop when we went to breakfast, and they just dashed over the house with balloons and banners and decorations and food. Oh, my goodness, the food, the chicken and salad from Chick-fil-A and bagels and the works from Einstein. And even my special friend from Alabama had paid for a beautiful decorated sheet cake. that Jack Phillips baked and decorated. Oh, thank you, Jack, from Masterpiece Bake Shop he made. And I’m just so grateful. It was beautiful. It tasted better. It was really – do you remember the years of President – not President GW, but President GH, when he – there was shock and awe when we invaded Iraq. Well, it was – It was shock and awe, but not the negative shock and awe. It was just a great, big, beautiful afternoon with loved ones and relatives. 48 people came into my house and devoured the food and just had a wonderful time. It was supposed to be an open house, but they just loved to just stay. Oh, and the children. I’m so glad I have a pool table and some of the wonderful games downstairs in the basement because we had children. Well, Kelsey and Seth had just had a newborn, Madeline, and she’s two months old. And then all the way up to teenage, and they were out in the backyard just throwing balls and having a ball. Thank you, Lord, for a wonderful day of weather, and I’m still in shock. And this is a shock moment over all the love that you showed to me. I put all your cards in a large basket. It’s a large basket. And I will be reading them at my leisure because I was bouncing off the walls by Saturday night. You showed me how much you love me. And I want you to know how much I love you. And with every breath, every day on the radio, I will tell you how much God loves you and looks after you. I want you to know that. I want you to know that beyond anything else that I ever say on the radio that God loves you. And he looks after you. He makes sure that you’re well taken care of, especially when you look to Jesus and you call on Jesus. Remember what Jesus said in Luke 10, 19. Behold, I’ve given you authority over all the power, all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall harm you. When you look to Jesus, you take him as your Savior and Lord. Nothing will harm you. Praise the Lord. And so I just want you to know, my dear friends, what a lovely, lovely experience. Not only that was, but every day on the radio, I look forward to coming and talking to you. First Peter 4, 8 through 10 says, Most important of all, continue to show deep love for each other, for love covers a multitude of sins. Cheerfully share your home with those who need a meal or a place to stay. Use your God-given gifts to serve one another. Praise the Lord. Well, this week I’ve got a verse of scripture that I want you to memorize. Yeah, sometimes I say, well, I just want you to meditate on it and look over it. But this week, John 14, verse 27, and we are right now in John, and I read John 14 yesterday, and it’s just so powerful. John 14, verse 27. Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you. Not as the world gives, do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. And in the passion… It says, don’t worry. And this is a passion translation. Don’t worry or surrender to your fear, for you’ve believed in God. Now trust and believe in me also. My father’s house has many dwelling places. Oh, he’s preparing one for you exactly the way you want it. If it were otherwise, I would tell you plainly because I go to prepare a place for you. And when everything is ready, I will come back and take you to myself so that you will be where I am. Oh, he is decorating it for you. Oh, he is. Oh, ready for you. I will come back and take you to myself so that you will be where I am. And you already know the way to the place where I am going. Every team about, oh, maybe four or five years ago. This has been just lately. When I see I am, I capitalize the AM. I do. I am is part of the Godhead, is the Godhead. See, we think they’re separate. But God and Jesus Christ and Holy Spirit are one person in different identities, but the same person. So every time Jesus says, and you already know the way to the place where I am. And, you know, I was asking Holy Spirit. He told me yesterday as I was in the office praying about today. He said, I want you to read John 14. And I said, well, Lord, why do you want me to read John 14 to them? They all have Bibles. I am sure 99% of you listening right now have Bibles in your home. In fact, you’ve got maybe five or six or seven, 12, 13, dozens Bibles. And I said, why are you asking me to do this? And he says, they may have Bibles in their home, but they’re not reading them. And I said, oh, wow. Okay, Lord, I will read John 14 to them today. So I want you to, if you are home, to open your Bible to John 14. And if you have a paper Bible, a leather bound Bible, don’t go to your phone. Go to your Bible and open it up to John 14. Oh, it’s just so beautiful. And this is we already read the first four verses of John 14. Don’t worry or surrender to your fear. And here in the fifth verse, Thomas said to him, Master, we don’t know where you’re going. So how could we know the way there? And Jesus explained, I am. Remember, I am God. I am the way. I am the truth. And I am the life. No one comes next to the father except through union with me. To know me is to know my father, too. To know the Lord Jesus is to love him, friend. It really is. And from now on, you will realize that you have seen him and experienced him. Oh, I not only want to see him, friend. I want to experience every part of what he has done for us. Verse 8, Philip spoke up, Lord, show us the Father, and that will be all we need. Well, he should have known. Jesus replied, Philip, I’ve been with you all this time, and you still don’t know who I am? Oh. How could you ask me to show you the Father for anyone who has looked at me? Do you hear that? Anyone who has looked at Jesus has seen the Father. Oh, don’t you believe that the Father is living in me and that I am living in the Father? So many I Am’s. Make sure that you capitalize that A and that M when you come across the I Am. Even my words are not my own, but come from my Father, for he lives in me and performs his miracles of power through me. Oh, that’s like so many times I think of the scripture and the words that Darren said. So many phrases, feelings and symptoms are liars. God’s word is truth. And so many scriptures that I repeat that I remember from Darren. And that’s what Jesus is saying. He’s saying, even my words are not my own, but come from my Father. Your words are going to be coming from the Word of God. It’s going to be the Word that is in your heart, and you’re going to start speaking the Word. For he lives in me and performs his miracles of power through me. In him I live and move and have my being. Believe that I live as one with my father and my father lives as one with me, or at least believe because of the mighty miracles I have done. What’s the word he’s using? Believe, believe, believe. And the word believe in the Bible means more than simply agreeing in our minds that something might be true. Oh yeah, this Bible might be true. It may not be just a history book. It means trust. It means give your all to him. Everything, every moment, every day to him. That we believe so strongly in God and the Bible that he wrote for us that we are willing to commit our lives to him and live the way we know he wants us to live. Hallelujah. And suppose you were walking along a path and you came to a bridge which crossed a deep canyon. You might look at it. What do you call that when you step on a bridge and you look down and everything’s twirling around? I might look at it and believe it would hold me, and you might even see other people walking across it, so you might know that it would hold your weight. But so far, your belief in the bridge is only in your head. When do you really believe the bridge will hold you? When will you really believe? When you begin to walk across that bridge. That’s right. When you commit to walking across that bridge. It’s the same way with Christ. Yes, we can believe that God exists, but God wants us to come to know him personally. And he has bridged the gap between us by sending his son to remove the barrier of sin and become the bridge. To believe in Christ is to believe. Commit our lives by faith to Christ, to trust him personally as our Savior and Lord. Our prayer is that you will come to truly believe in Christ. Well, Jesus goes on to teach his disciples in John 14, the night before he was crucified. I tell you this timeless truth. The person who follows me in faith, believing in me, will do the same mighty miracles that I do, even greater miracles than these, because I go to be with my Father. For I will do whatever you ask me to do when you ask in my name. So I will do whatever, friend, you ask me to do. That’s you. When you have a request, when you do it in his name. And that is how the son will show what the father is really like and bring glory to him. Ask me anything in my name, says Jesus, and I will do it for you. Believe and pray that your request is within your heavenly Father’s will. And this is one of my favorite about asking and receiving, and it was one of Darren’s favorite. This is the confidence I have before you. It’s found in 1 John 5, 14 and 15. The disciple who was always laying his head on Jesus’ chest. This is the confidence I have before you, that if you ask anything according to your will, you hear me. And if I know that you hear me, I know that I have those requests that I have asked of you. That is so important to know that if you ask anything according to God’s will, it’s got to be according to God’s will. He’s our perfect creator. He’s the one that created you. You hear me and I know that you hear me. I know that I have those requests. It’s so important to know that he loves you so much. He really does. And I realize that in a personal way and also a physical way this last weekend. But every moment of every day, he loves you with such a deep and abiding and unconditional love that I want the Gaither Vocal Band to tell you that you are loved.

Oh, praise God. I love that song. And it just tells you a little bit about how much I love you. I love you today. The member of the Gaither Vocal Band that sang the chorus on Forgiven. I repeat, I’ve been forgiven. That’s Michael English. And in 1994, he was the Artist of the Year. He received a Dove Award. He was going places. And he had an affair with a woman. And she had his child. And he spiraled into the pit of despair. Some of you know what that’s like. Just doing something, what you thought was so messed up, such a sin, so awful, that God in no way could forgive you. Oh, God. But he does. He’s the God that is so forgiving, so forgiving. And even though some people didn’t forgive Michael English, he knew God had forgiven him, and he began to climb up out of that pit. And he joined Bill Gaither and the Gaither Vocal Band, and you could hear his voice. It’s better than ever. Oh, friend, if you feel like you’ve messed up and you’ve done something so egregious that no one could ever forgive you, remember, he’s a God of love and he’s a God of forgiveness and he’s faithful to his word that he will never leave you or forsake you. Oh, receive Jesus Christ today as your Savior and Lord. You are going to experience a wonderful, wonderful rest of your life. God bless you and keep you. Oh, it’s just been such a privilege, privilege and honor to be with you today. I love you so much. God bless you and keep you until I speak to you again. And take joy.
