SPEAKER 01 :
Good morning. Welcome to Victorious Faith. I’m Cherry Campbell. This morning we are going to continue and conclude lesson number 11 that I taught in a class called The Kingdom of God. So join me now in our live class for the conclusion of this lesson, a summary of the spiritual law of love. He humbled himself in Philippians 2, verses 6, 7, and 8. It says, who being in very nature God, this is speaking about Jesus, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped or to hold on to tightly and to not release it, not to grasp it, it is not something to be grasped but he made himself nothing taking the very nature of a servant being made in human likeness and being found in appearance as a man he humbled himself and became obedient to death, even death on a cross. And Jesus said, anyone who would follow me must take up his cross daily. So we die to self. That is love. It is humbling ourselves, lowing ourselves before other people, honoring other people and putting others first. Love is humble. Amen. Amen. Now, I want us to see, you know, sometimes people say, but Terry, this sounds too hard. How can I ever do that? Well, the Bible says that we are able to love. In Genesis 1, verse 26, it says, Then God said, Let us make man in our image, in our likeness. Now, we already established that God is love. It says in 1 John 4.8, God is love. So, if God is love and we are created in the image of God, then we are created in the image of love. Love was the master, original God. And we are the photocopy. We are created in the image of love. We are created by love for love. So we are created in the love of God. So we have the same capacity in our spirit to love other people that God has. Hallelujah. Amen. 1 John 5, verse 1 says, Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God. But we said God is love. So everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of love. Amen. Amen. We are born of love, created in the image of God who is love, with the same capacity to love that God has. And 2 Peter 1, verse 4, it says, “…through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, that is, the word of God, so that through them, through the word of God, you may participate in the divine nature.” and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires. So through the word of God, we put to death everything that belongs to the sinful nature, and we participate in the divine nature, the nature of God, which is love. Amen? Amen. Amen. So this shows we are created in the image of love. In Genesis 1.26, we are born of love. 1 John 5.1 and 2 Peter 1.4 says we participate in the divine nature of love. We have the ability and the capacity to love on the inside of us. The same love that God has. God’s love is in us. Amen? amen amen so now you ask how do i grow in this love if i have the ability to love if i have the capacity of god to love on the inside of me how do i grow in love well first of all you cannot give something that you have not received So we must first, as we started out talking about, we must receive God’s love for us. We must get a revelation of how much he loves us. As we talked about at the very beginning of this lesson, His enormous love reaches to the heavens. And Paul prayed that we may understand and grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of God. His love for us. We must receive his love because if we don’t receive his love, we have no love to give. So we must say, Lord, show me how much you love me and make it real to me. And so how do you do that? You meditate on the word of God. You meditate on his promises of love, his words of love, and his deeds of love. How he died for man, how he has healed man, how he has always delivered mankind. and how he is always willing and eager to do the same for us. So we meditate in his love for us, and we grow in receiving his love, knowing I am loved. I just want everybody to say that. Jesus loves me. God loves me. And we grow in that revelation of his love for us. And then as his love for us grows in us, it is then able to spill over out of our lives toward other people. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. Well, so does love. Love comes by the word of God. It comes from studying and meditating on the promises of love and on the deeds of love, the works and deeds of God, and even in the ministry of Jesus. The things that he did, as we already said, he had compassion on them and healed all the sick. And so when we meditate on the promises of love and God’s works of love, then we can grow in love for other people. John 17, 26 says, I have made you known to them and will continue to make you known. Now, how did he make the father known? He’s praying to the father. How did he make the father known? By his teaching and by his deeds. He spoke what the father said and he did what the father did. He said, everything I say, the father has taught me to say. And everything I do, I have seen the father do. And so by his words and actions, Jesus revealed who God is. And that’s what he said in John 17, 26. He’s praying to the Father, and he’s saying, Father, I made you known to them. I made you known by my words and actions, and I will continue to make you known in order that the love you have for me may be in them. and that I myself may be in them. So we see right here that by seeing what Jesus did, by hearing his words and seeing what he did, he makes known to us the love of the Father, in order that the love that the Father has for the Son, he said, the love you have for me, the love that God the Father has for Jesus the Son, will be in us. That is amazing. Hallelujah. How great is the love the father has for the son. And that is the love that he has put in us. And Romans chapter 5. Romans chapter 5 verse 5. Says because God has poured out his love. Into our hearts by the Holy Spirit whom he has given us. God has poured, poured. He just like opened up the floodgates of heaven and poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit whom he has given us. So when he gave us the Holy Spirit, he gave us his love. Just like it says, the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance. These all are the manifestation of the Spirit, and the Spirit is in us. So when we begin allowing the Holy Spirit to work and grow in our lives, and we practice it, it is a seed. Actually, you know, the fruit of the Spirit, just like any fruit, begins with the seed. Every fruit, whether it’s an apple or an orange or a watermelon, it begins with a seed. And the fruit of the Spirit begin in you and me as a seed. When we’re born again, the Spirit is born into us. We are reborn by the Spirit. And the seeds… of love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and self-control are born in us. When we are born again, the seeds are born in us. But what do you do with the seed to make it grow? What do you do with the seed? Plant it. You have to plant it and then water it and it’ll grow. So you have to plant love like a seed. Plant joy like a seed. Plant faith like a seed. Plant long-suffering patience like a seed. So these are born into us by the Holy Spirit when we’re born again. We plant them like a seed. That means simply we practice. We exercise it and it’ll grow. How do you make your muscles grow? You exercise. You feed them and exercise. You have to have food and exercise to make your body grow. You have to have food and exercise to make your love grow. You have to have food and exercise to make your faith grow. The food is the word of God, the promises of God. The exercise is practicing it to make it grow. 1 John 4, verse 7 says, And also verse 16 says, let us love one another for love comes from God. Love is from God planted in us, born in us. We plant it. We exercise it. We practice it and it’ll grow. We practice it and we release love by faith. You know, when somebody is doing something unkind, we said grace is unearned. undeserved favor. Forgiveness is even when they don’t deserve it. We do it by faith. We release it by faith. Amen? Amen. And when we walk in love, we walk in victory. If we will continually operate in the law of love, we will live in victory. 1 Corinthians 13, verse 8, says love never fails. No matter what else you’re doing, other things can fail, but love will never fail. And 1 John 5, verse 4, everyone born of God, God is love. So everyone born of love overcomes the world. This is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith, and we love by faith. Everyone born of love overcomes the world. So if you walk in love, just like God does, if you operate continually by the law of love, you will live in victory. It doesn’t mean trouble doesn’t come, but it means that you will get the victory whenever trouble comes. Doesn’t mean problems don’t come, but you will get the victory every time a problem comes if you live in the law of love. Love is the greatest. 1 Corinthians 13, verse 13. 1 Corinthians 13, 13. These three remain. Faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love. Love is the victory that overcomes the world. If we live in love, we live in victory. God operates by love and he always has the victory. Amen? Amen. Glory to God. So that is the law of love. Praise God. What you just heard was a conclusion of lesson number 11 that I taught in a class called The Kingdom of God. And this lesson number 11 is a summary of the spiritual law of love. And we will begin lesson number 12 tomorrow. So join me again tomorrow. And remember, God loves you. You are blessed and highly favored by the Lord.
