SPEAKER 02 :
Well, the sun is shining, but it’s bitter cold in Denver, Colorado. I hope you’re warm wherever you are. God bless you. God bless you for joining us on Call to Freedom. What a wonderful opportunity just to talk about God. Oh, I love it. Every day I come to the studio, I’m enthused. I’m looking forward to just speaking with you about our Lord Jesus. He is the subject of the whole Bible, my friend. I know you’re getting to know Father God as well when you’re reading the Bible, but it’s about Jesus. It’s all about him. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance. It reminds me of that precious scripture in Romans 15. Great scripture. Romans 15, verse 13. I’m going to have to use that maybe for next week. Now may the God of hope. Oh, God of hope. He’s your hope. Fill you with all joy and peace in believing that you may abound in hope by the power of Holy Spirit who is in you. And I’m going to be talking about some situations that are almost seem impossible for relationships to be mended. And yet God comes in with his wonderful love, his abiding presence, and just makes it. You look back at some situation where you just were at a crossroads. You weren’t going to be talking to that person any longer. And God just opens up a door and gives you an opportunity to mend or to renew or to reconcile with that person. So I am so grateful to the Lord God. So I pray that the eyes of your heart might be enlightened today. So anybody that you have anything against or you’re having some emotional issues about, oh, I pray that God would just smooth that over, fill that up with his love. You are blessed to dispense for in him you live and move and have your being. Praise the Lord. If you’d like to give to Call to Freedom, you can go to freedomstreet.org and hit that donate button and give to Call to Freedom. It’s real easy and it’s a wonderful way in which… We can pay that monthly bill on the radio, and people can hear about our Lord Jesus. Praise the Lord. Last Tuesday, I listened to an interview with Sean Hannity and President Trump and Elon Musk, and it was so fascinating. As I listened, I thought, you know, I’m going to read that on the radio, and so I’m going to do that here. It’s not as long as the interview was. It was a while. And I’m just going to give some of the things that they were talking about. And Sean Hannity started the interview by saying that Elon is working for free with Doge. He is working for free. And his personal account has increased. He’s richer than he was a year ago. I think that’s marvelous. See, God reigns on the just and the unjust. He gives, he blesses. As you give, as Elon is doing all this for free, God is just pouring it on, pouring it on. And that’s what we need to do. We need to realize that God’s generosity always, always increases, multiplies. And when we are people that are… befriending others, being generous in our giving, we’re going to get back a reward. We truly are a harvest. Elon has put a lot of his life on hold, and President Trump sued Twitter a number of years ago, you remember that, because they were censoring him. Twitter paid him $10 million, and he said in the interview, I could have gotten a lot more than $10 million. And as you know, Elon was a friend of the Democrats in those days. Well, he bought X, he brought freedom back, took away that censoring policy, And he has now become one of President Trump’s closest friends. He’s working for free and is working for President Trump to make America great again. He said in the interview. And I love this. I love the president. I just want to be clear about that. I think President Trump is a good man. And that’s changed from the very first time he was president. I was fully Democrat because the president has been so unfairly attacked in the media. I have changed my mind and my position. It’s truly outrageous. At this point, I’ve spent a lot of time with the president and not once, not once, he says, have I seen him do something that was mean or cruel or wrong. Not once. Hannity asked the president, how do you take all this slander? How did you take all this slander and all the lies? And President Trump replied, did I have a choice? I didn’t have a choice. The left has felt that since I’ve gotten elected again by a very wide margin that I was going to get revenge. But I measure revenge by success. I love what he says about that. I don’t go for revenge, ever. And so he’s measuring that by the success that the country is going to have through his term in office. Hannity also said, Mr. President, with your indulgence, I’m convinced that people only know a little bit about Elon. And because I’ve prepared for this interview, I learned a lot about you, Elon, that I didn’t know. I think when people think of Tesla, your name comes up. Democrats are now demonizing you and trying to make the country hate you. I just want people to understand you a little bit better and the person that you’ve gotten to know and have now put a lot of trust in. And Hannity goes on to say you were the primary mover in PayPal. And he made millions with PayPal. And then how did you become involved in Tesla and SpaceX and Neuralink? And Elon admitted, that could take a while. I think the way you think of me is like, I’m a technologist. And I try to make technologies that improve the world and make life better. So good. And that’s why my T-shirt says tech support. And he opens up his jacket and here’s his T-shirt. You know, he wears T-shirts all the time. And they were laughing about that because Trump says, you’re always wearing a T-shirt. And, you know, Trump wears a coat and jacket and tie. And he says, that’s why my T-shirt says tech support. And he opens up his coat and there’s laughter because I’m here to provide the president with technological support. And now that may seem like, well, a silly thing. But actually, it’s a very important thing because the president will make these executive orders, which are very sensible and good for the country. But then the left tries to undermine what the president has done. So I’m here to implement things and investigate the unfair abuse of taxpayers’ money and then give it to the president. He’s not being a president himself. He’s giving all the information that he has gathered to the president so President Trump can look it over. So if you take, for example, all the funding for the migrant hotels, I mean, folks, it’s billions. The president issued an executive order. Hey, we need to stop taking taxpayer money and paying for luxury hotels for illegal immigrants. When he shows the great amount of money spent on luxury hotels and supporting illegal aliens, then it begins to have an effect on the people and those making policies. What I received from that interview, and this is just a small part of it, is that there is such a deep respect that Elon Musk has for President Trump and vice versa. It’s a blessing to know that this country is on the right track with the right people to govern in all the agencies that are being downsized and becoming effective for the American people. Just one of the things about abuse, I wasn’t going to bring this up, but one of the things about abuse here in Denver, Colorado is, is that the mayor, Johnston, he bought an old motel for $10 million. They were going to rehab and remodel it for immigrants. So they paid $10 million maybe three or four years ago. And they didn’t have the money then. I mean, it was going to take a huge amount of money to make this livable for the migrants. So now… they are selling this motel you want to know the price ten dollars he’s selling this hotel for ten dollars and you know i don’t think he’s going to get anybody to buy it because it’s going to take hundreds of thousands of dollars to get it ready for these migrants. So see, that’s just a little bit of the abuse that they are seeing all over the country. So I’m so grateful. I’m so grateful I heard this interview. If you have internet access, you can Google Hannity interview with President Trump and Elon Musk. And it’s just a great time. They are so relaxed, enjoying each other’s company. It’s just a beautiful thing to see. Our memory verse for this week is Psalm 90, verse 14. I have enjoyed this so much. Oh, satisfy us in the morning with thy loving kindness that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days. And the message translation of Psalm 90, 14 through 17 says, Surprise us with love at daybreak. Then we’ll skip and dance all the day long. Make up for the bad times with some good times. We’ve seen enough evil to last a lifetime. Yes, we have. Let your servants see what you’re best at, the ways you rule. and bless your children and let the loveliness of the lord our god rest on us confirming the work that we do and your work today is worth so much what you do with your hands so when you ask the lord confirm my work today whether you’re baking pies for people or you’re working in plumbing and fixing people’s pipes because there’s a lot of pipes that were probably broken God is going to confirm that he is blessing you in every way. Oh, yes. Confirm the work that we do. And the King James Version says the work of our hands. So God bless you. As I read Luke 6 in the Word Power Bible Guide, it was just a couple days ago, Jesus is addressing his disciples by saying, this is such a marvelous, marvelous passage. And yet, when I have read it over the years, I’ve just kind of gone really quickly through it. Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God. Without Jesus, we’re poor. We’re helpless. Blessed are you who hunger now, for you shall be satisfied. What does Psalm 90 verse 14 say? Oh, satisfy us in the morning with our loving kindness. Well, that’s why I go to the word of God in the morning. because I want to be satisfied for the whole day. Blessed are you who weep now, for you shall laugh. Blessed are you when men hate you and ostracize you and insult you and scorn your name as evil for the sake of the Son of Man. Now, some people that I’ve had issues with, they have not even done the things that they’ve done towards me or my family that because they knew that I knew the Lord. There are just people that love to throw garbage, throw bad words at other people. I admit for, you know, for years I read over some of these verses. Blessed are you. When men shall hate you and ostracize you and insult you. And I quickly, I went through them quickly. I read through them quickly because I thought that loving people who despise me was an impossible task. And it is on our own. It really is an impossible task on our own. But there comes a time when we’ve turned our lives over to him and trusted him with all our hearts that it is possible to love the unlovely with Jesus’ love. And when you think of them, oh, Father God, bless them. I pray for them right now in your precious name that you will open the eyes. Remember that scripture from Ephesians 118. Open the eyes of their heart. They may see you, may see you. I have a dear friend who has an obnoxious neighbor. And maybe some of you can relate. My friend came to me and she said she was going to change her attitude. See, in the past, she’s been looking for a change in her neighbor’s attitude. I don’t think she’d see it. So she said, I’m going to change my attitude toward my neighbor, pray for him, and respect him as a creation of God. And I thought, how nice. That’s step one, two, three. and uh i can identify with her because oh let me tell this story it’s just it’s it’s hard to tell but when we lived in greeley we had neighbors right next door right next door who taunted our daughters and said ungodly things and i usually let those things just passed i just said father forgive them and one day when i drove in the driveway coming home from john wells music center I realized that these neighbors were sawing the branches off our maple trees that were next to their yard. I mean, they’re huge, 30, 40 feet tall maple trees, and they were up in the trees sawing the limbs off. And now these are gorgeous trees, and they were not interfering with the neighbor’s activities, the sprinkling system, or their yard. But there they were sawing off limbs and branches. Well… I was so angry. I was yelling at them and they were laughing at me. I was yelling at them. You would never know I was a believer. Oh, my goodness. And I called John and he came and watched while I… I can laugh now, but I was yelling, do something about it, do something about it. And John, he’s so much like my daughter, Kimberly. His gentle demeanor did nothing for me at the moment. But when he told me that cutting the branches off the trees was not going to ultimately hurt the trees, and it wasn’t worth damaging any further the hostility that existed, and boy, there was. Oh, that was such a trying time for this woman who wanted revenge. I wanted it right then. And we had those neighbors through John’s death. And after marrying Darren, we did. We finally moved away from them, moved to Denver. I don’t understand all these things. I don’t understand everything. But I know what John said was true. It isn’t worth the angst trying to overwhelm my emotions. And that’s what happened at that moment. Every time I thought of them, I just thought, oh, ugly thoughts. And friend, we can’t go through life like that. We must keep cool spirits when things don’t go our way. And the last time I was in Greeley and I went by our old house, the trees were just fine. So my husband John was right. Jesus says, Jesus went on to say, blessed, and this is part of the Beatitudes, Luke 6, 23. Be glad in that day and leap for joy. For behold, your reward is great in heaven. Now this is when people ostracize you, hate you, insult you. He says, be glad? Be glad? Well, now I can see it. I couldn’t then. I couldn’t for many, many years. Oh, praise God. He changed my heart. He’s changing my heart. He says, for in the same way your fathers used to treat the prophets. That’s the same way. The prophets killed so many of the people who wrote the Bible. But woe to you who are rich, for you are receiving your comfort in full. Woe to you who are well fed now and comfortable now, for you shall be hungry. Woe to you who laugh now, for you shall mourn and weep. Woe to you when all men speak well of you. And we like all those likes on Facebook, don’t we? Oh, when they speak well of us. Oh, I had so many likes today. But when they don’t, what happens? And Jesus goes on to say, for their fathers used to treat the false prophets in the same way. And I say to you here, love your enemies. Do good to those who hate you. Oh, I can’t do that. It’s impossible to forgive him or her. Well, no, you can’t do good to those who consciously want to do you harm. That’s why you’re learning to trust Jesus and give him the authority in your life to help you change those things that go against the word of God. Jesus goes on to say Treat others the same way you want them to treat you. I know, folks, I know this is a really tall order for us. But, you know, this society has become so used to getting even that we don’t realize what it does, the harm it does to us when we hold those hostile thoughts in our hearts and we’re mad. It is worse on us than the person that we’re coming against. So Romans 5, 6 through 11 says, When we were utterly helpless, Christ came at just the right time and died for our sins. Now, most people would not be willing to die for an upright person, though someone might perhaps be willing to die for a person who is especially good. But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners, folks. And since we have been made right in God’s eyes by the blood of Jesus, he will certainly save us from God’s condemnation. Oh, so beautiful. Here’s Kim Walker Smith. Jesus paid it all.
SPEAKER 03 :
I hear the Savior say The high strength indeed is small Child of weakness watch and pray Find in me thine all in all Jesus paid it all All to him I owe. Sin had left a crimson state. He washed it white as snow. The leper’s spice And melt the heart of stone Jesus paid it all All to Him I owe Sin had left a crimson stain He washed it white as snow I stand in him complete Jesus died my soul to save My lips shall still repeat Jesus paid all, all to him I owe. Sin had left a crimson stain. He washed it white as snow. He washed it white as snow.
SPEAKER 02 :
Amen. He washed it white as snow while I was yet a sinner. Christ died for me. Oh, so now we can rejoice in our wonderful new relationship with God because our Lord Jesus Christ has made us friends with God, just like Elon and President Trump. They are close friends now. And I pray today that you will get some relationships close, so close that you’re you’re closer than a blood brother or sister. That’s what I’m praying for you. Oh Lord Jesus, cleanse my heart and give me a heart that loves no matter what is said about me or done to create chaos. Give me a new heart and a fresh start in life. I give my life to you. You know everything about me. My life is an open book. Oh, I hope you’re praying that today. I have no secrets, Lord God. My life is an open book. I love you, Father. We love you, Father. We don’t say it enough every day, but we love you, Lord God. Oh, and I pray today that you will know his love beyond any kind of argument or opposition that you have in your life, that the love of God will just permeate your life. It will just do wonders to your life. And you can say, like Paul, now may the God of hope fill me with all joy and peace in believing that I may abound in hope by the power of Holy Spirit who is in me. And remember, God is in you. He’s dwelling in you. He’s a God who loves you. He wants to teach you and guide you into all that you do. He has given us promises of a life growing up in his image and likeness. And that’s something we should look forward to every day. More of him in our lives. As I’ve put aside the life shadowed with shame and guilt and realized Jesus’ righteousness is my righteousness, I go boldly to the throne of God, anticipating his love and grace in my life and canceling all that I used to be. all scared, feeling inferior, unworthy, guilty, fearful. Oh, and I’ve laid all that aside and continue to receive from him his acceptance of me and you, my friend, in the beloved. I pray that you are going to believe the same thing, knowing that God has taken away from you that guilt and fear and inferiority. and unworthiness and shame oh and that blanket of shame is thrown off of you right now in jesus name and you know you can go boldly before that throne of god and ask him anything and he says i will do it therefore all things for which you pray and ask believe that you have received it and it shall be granted you so i pray you’ll go to mark 11 verse 24 And say that, Father God, I pray and ask. I don’t know what your request is, but Holy Spirit does. Father God does. And he really believes in you. He wants the very best for you. He’s a God of goodness. So, oh, he satisfies our life with loving kindness and goodness every day of our life. And I pray that that loving kindness and goodness will go with you for the rest of your life. God bless you and keep you and take joy.
