Good morning. Welcome to Victorious Faith. I’m Cherri Campbell. This morning I’m going to continue sharing with you the lesson I began sharing with you yesterday that I taught in a class called the Kingdom of God. And this lesson number 11 is the beginning of a series of lessons giving a summary of the seven primary spiritual laws of the Kingdom of God. And this lesson number 11 is a summary of the spiritual law of love. So join me now in our live class for lesson number 11, the law of love. So let’s look at the law of love. First of all, it is the first law of Love is God. God is love. Love is who God is. Love is the nature of God so that everything he does, he does by love. 1 John 4, 8. Now I’m going to read scriptures quickly today because actually I’ve got quite a bit to share and I don’t want to spend a lot of time. Actually, every one of these laws can be and should be a subject all by itself. We could spend many hours on every single law. But we don’t have time for that in this subject. We’re just introducing these laws. So that’s why we’re going to move kind of quickly to cover a lot of material. But love is the nature of God. Love is who God is. 1 John 4, 8 says… Whoever does not love does not know God because God is love. God is love. 1 John 4.16 says, God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God and God in him. So as we get to know God, as we fellowship with God, as we spend time communicating with God and fellowshipping with him through the word of God and through prayer, we will begin to realize the greatness of his love. And if you don’t know, I want to add this. If you don’t know his love, you don’t know him. There are so many Christians that know God as a fearful being, someone who’s to be feared and honored. And yes, he is to be feared and honored, but not in a scared kind of way, but with honor and reverence and respect. But in the same way, he’s also our father and our daddy. And we must understand that he is love. And so if you don’t know his love, you don’t know him. He is love. And the closer you come to him, the more you know his love because love radiates from every cell of his being. Love is continually radiating, pulsing from him. And so when we get close to him, we will always feel his love. His incomprehensible love, his love is indescribable. It is beyond our human comprehension. In Psalm 36, verse 5, it says, Your love, O Lord, reaches to the heavens, your faithfulness to the skies. Psalm 86, verse 15 says, But you, O Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger and abounding in love and faithfulness. Abounding in love. Psalm 89, verse 28. God said, I will maintain my love to him forever. And my covenant with him will never fail. Jeremiah 31.3, the Lord says, I have loved you with an everlasting love. I have drawn you with loving kindness. In Romans 5, 8, it says, but God demonstrates his own love for us in this. While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. While we were sinners, while we were still enemies of God, he died for us. He gave his love, his life for us. And in Ephesians 3, 17, I do want to look at that real quickly because it is such a powerful scripture. Ephesians 3, verses 17 through 19 says, It says, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power together with all the saints to grasp how wide and long and high and deep Now this word know in verse 19, to know this love, the word know there is the same word that means to experience. It means to know intimately and deeply by experience. So we could say that to experience this love that surpasses knowledge. And Paul is praying that we would be able to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ. You know, that’s just like the psalmist said that his love reaches to the heavens. And so just like Paul prayed, we need to pray that we can grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ. We need to make this a pursuit that we can know and experience his love intimately for ourselves. Yes, we’ve all been told that God loves us. Yes, we’ve heard that as long as we’ve been in church. God loves us. But it’s a lot more than just a few words. It’s a lot more than just saying God loves you, God loves me, this I know. But it’s getting an intimate revelation of how much He loves us. We must walk in His love and receive His love every day. And so God is love, so everything He does, He does by love. And so if we’re going to operate by the laws of God, we also must live by By love and everything we do, everything we say, every word and action is in love. So let’s just go into that a little bit and see what does love do? First of all, love gives. The greatest expression of love is giving. In John 3.16 it says, For God so loved the world that he gave his only son, that whoever believes in him would not perish but have everlasting life. It says God so loved the world that he what? What did he do? He gave. God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son. In 1 John 4 and 9, it says, this is how God showed his love among us. What did God do? He showed his love. And he sent his one and only son into the world that we might live through him. Again, it says he sent his son or he gave his one and only son. God’s greatest desire is to give. Because he is love. Love is never satisfied unless it is expressed. If we don’t express our love, it cannot be satisfied. So God’s great desire to give is even beyond our comprehension or our ability to comprehend. So God’s love gives us everything that we need. His love gives us grace, mercy, forgiveness, healing, provision, supply, strength, everything that we need. Amen? Amen. Then love is full of grace. You see, I thought of the nature of God. In this characteristic of love, it embodies the nature of God. And so what is the nature of God? First of all, he’s love, but he’s also gracious. He’s also merciful. He’s also forgiving. But all these things actually come from love. Grace comes from love. Mercy comes from love. Forgiving comes from love. Being faithful comes from love. And so that’s why love is full of grace. When we are full of love, we are full of grace. What is grace? Well, the grace of God is the heart of God to give, the heart motive, the heart desire, the heart passion to It is his eager willingness, eager willingness to give us whatever we need or want that is in line with his perfect will for us. It is his eager willingness to give. God is sitting, I can almost see him sitting on the edge of his throne, eagerly waiting to give. That’s why it says in Hebrews 4.16, Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. We can come boldly to the throne of grace, it says in the King James. Come boldly to the throne of grace to obtain, to receive. Because another word for grace, I felt the Lord showed me a key word to describe grace is benevolence. Benevolence or charitableness. It is the nature and attitude to do good to other people. It is the nature and the attitude to do good to other people, to do acts of kindness. It is love for mankind accompanied with a desire to do good and do acts of kindness to promote other people’s prosperity and happiness. God delights in the happiness of man. And it is his disposition, his attitude, his nature to do good and kind charitable acts, benevolent acts for all of mankind. It is also universal. It means it’s for everyone. It’s not just for a few chosen or select. It is for everyone. It is universal. It is universal. It is liberality. And it also, as we’ve often heard, it is unearned. Unearned. Undeserved. Free. Free. The word free means you don’t pay for it. You don’t work for it. You don’t earn it. It is the free favors and blessings of God. Now, God’s grace is so magnificent. It says in Romans 5, verse 17… For if by the trespass of the one man death reigned through the one man, how much more will those who receive God’s abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ? It says that God gives abundant provision. provision abundant provision of grace and when we receive his abundant grace his abundant provisions his liberality his favors and blessings in our lives then we will reign in this life in this life on earth we can reign as kings And the same chapter, Romans 5 verse 20 says, The law was added so that the trespass or the sin might increase. But where sin increased, grace increased all the more. You know, so many times people think, well, I don’t deserve it. And the devil comes to bring condemnation into our hearts and minds. Say, you don’t deserve God’s goodness. You don’t deserve God’s kindness. Exactly. We don’t deserve it. But that’s what grace is. grace is undeserved we don’t deserve any of it but it is his liberality it is his grace that gives undeservingly we don’t earn it it is free free free means you don’t pay for it you don’t earn it you don’t work for it it’s all of his benefits and blessings just poured out and lavished He lavished abundantly. That’s part of the definition of grace. It means to lavish abundantly. He lavishes abundantly his grace, his favors, his benefits on us that we can’t earn one of them. So all we do is we say, Lord, I ask for your grace and I receive your free grace, your free abundant provision of grace in my life. What you just heard was the continuation of lesson number 11 that I taught in a class called the kingdom of God. And this lesson number 11 is a summary of the spiritual law of love.
